4K 30hz in case anyone was wondering

    • +1

lol beat me by 40 s damn

      • haha. It never takes long for a 30hz comment.

FWIW I bought a really similar looking hub from amazon last week for $40 that's 60hz, 100W PD. No card slot but does have 3.5mm audio in/out port which suits me. Not the cheapest around but works well so far.

        • Can you share which one?

@ozjudas: Not sure I should as the seller is currently banned. Amazon search of info I mentioned should give you very few options. 6 in 1

Only 30 Hz in 4k FYI

  • +5

    Just FYI it's 4K 30hz only.

  • +3

    is this 60hz at 4K?

    • +1

Looks like 4k/30 but better waiting someone to confirm it lol

  • +6

How many Hz at 4K? 🤷‍♂️

  • Is this a good price? I don't need the Hz being top quality, just for work on surface pro 8.

    • +1

seems pretty good for what it is, but your surface pro 8 supports 4K 60hz so probably worth spending a bit more.

  • This is probably one of those that get quite hot when just plugged in, ie. no crazy currents or transfers running throught it, they just get hot.

  • Dumb question. My monitor supports 160hz 2k via usbc. I have a single Thunderbolt connection on my laptop and this works great except for the fact I want a usb c connection for other purposes. Will using a usb c hub like these allow me to keep using the monitor at 160hz 2k via usb c?

    • You're better off getting a proper dock. I just bought a Dell tb16 as they're well priced and support what I need. These cheap things won't do what you want with the performance you require.

      • Cheers, thanks for the advice.

All these comments remind me of the John Cougar Mellencamp song, Hertz So Good

    • Do you really want to, hurt me …

    • Sometimes refresh rates don't look like they should.

  • Any good 4K 120Hz hubs out there?

  • Will these do 4k USB C and 4k HDMI concurrently?
    I couldn't give a rat's about hz
