There were a few mixed views on it when it was discounted on Amazon.

A few don't seem to care for the spout on it.
Not sure why you need a thermometer for a milk jug. Once you feel the side of the jug and it's too hot to touch then you're almost there. I've found these to be the best bang for buck milk jugs https://alternativebrewing.com.au/search?q=Rhinowares+Profes…
This or Bambino Plus
This if you need a grinder, Bambino Plus of you don't need a grinder.
Not sure if it's that simple.
Has a 4 hole compared to 1 hole wand on the express.
Has different heating technology as it's 3 seconds for the plus. If that's good or not is hard to tell based on feedback.
Plus has auto milk temperature/frothing. Plus is a bit light so moves around more.
Express has a grinder.
Plus has 2 year warranty instead of 1.
Anyone know the cheapest it has been? I briefly remember seeing this for like <$400 a few months back

I could be wrong, but the cheapest historical deal would be this one:

Around $500 was a pretty good pre covid price, so nice to see its back there now. Under $400 would be very rare if it ever happened at all. Multiple stacked cashbacks, discounts, probably through ebay, for example.
Don't skim on the extended warranty and thank me later
Thanks for the tip.
extended warranty
Where would you recommend buying the extended warranty from? Directly from Bing Lee as a separate purchase?
Is there a single boiler Breville that gets the same results for espresso?
I’m guessing there’s nothing available without the wand but that’d be the ideal
This machine is a single boiler
Ok, I guess this wasn’t the best model to post this question up.
I guess the theory is that people are often so impressed by these Brevilles therefore there may be a basic version that makes comparably good espresso without all the flash features (like even lose the wand)
Theoretically it’d be cheaper…
This is a very basic espresso machine, it doesnt have "flash features".
And which wand do you want to ditch? The steam wand? Every espresso machine has a steam wand.
@WillisAU: I'd say maybe the inbuilt grinder and magnetic tamp coud be seen as "flash features", or even the automatic presets.
I assume the term is being used loosely to describe features that aren't vital, i.e. the Bambino. I have this now but my old machine had a manual turn valve for the steam wand and a button to control the espresso.
The jug is not worth the extra $20.
