  • Wonder if it will run a Dometic caravan A/C

    • +2

Which model? If it is an inverter a/c, definitely.

  • Maximum temperature/altitude 40°C/1000m

1000m isn't very high. My most visited camping spot is 1500m high.

    • Probably some nonsense disclaimer to avoid warranty claim. These are just combined petrol engine and generators which do not have any issue running above that altitude or temp.

Probably some nonsense disclaimer to avoid warranty claim.

Possibly, or, perhaps the engine just doesn't perform well at altitude, and this is to stop people complaining when the output drops off when they go camping.

    • Can’t use when flying

Does anyone know where I can buy a earthing rod like the one in the product video for the generator

Would this be able to power a 370L fridge? Wishful thinking? Whats the maximum size fridge t his will power?

    • +1

How many watts does that fridge use?

      • It says 2.195KwH, per, 24 hr consumption, does that help?

        • +1

This generates a max continuous output of 1800W (7.5A@240V), which is the important number(s). Somewhere on your fridge will be a wattage rating that will need to be less than 1800W, most likely on the back near where the power cord is attached
          .

          • @Nugs: All i can see is 350W 2.5A , does this help?

            • +1

@harpie: 350w<1800w so ample supply from the generator. You could run five 350W fridges (5x350=1750)
              .

  • wonder if it can charge a Tesla (serious q)

    • Yes, slowly.
      A standard wall socket is 2400w (10amp)
      A 15amp wall socket is 3600w
A hard wired home charger should be 7200w (30amp)
      A super charger is …???? Max 250,000w (250kw), but most average 50kw

So, whilst this will charge at 1.8kw, it'll be slower than a standard home plug (1%/hr)
