what would be some good bargains?

    • +1

They usually don't exclude 'special buys'; so last big sale they did I got a 2 post Hoist; saved almost $500.

      • How's that been going for you? Wish I could get a hoist but don't have adequate width in my garage.

        • +1

It's not as good as the Bendpak hoist I have next to it, but the Aemlube ones are 'fine' for working on normal jap cars, but anything yank tank goes on the bendpak.

    • +1

      That's a bit subjective don't you think?

      • +1

Absolutely, but no harm in collecting some good options

    Others do 25-30 off regularly

Yawn. I don't get out of bed for less than 50%…

    • +1

does that mean you don't get out of your bed 99% of the time? Haha I'm just kidding

Great stuff! Keen to know if it includes batteries, car is dead as a dodo in the driveway this morning.

    • +2

If you need the car working today, or if you want to be sure they don't sell out of the type of battery you need, the email also says "Can't wait until tomorrow? Buy it now & we'll credit you back the difference."

But, you have to be a member for this to work and present your membership card when purchasing, and the store credit only lasts a limited time, I think it's 28 days. Perhaps use the credit for some oil or new wiper blades?

      • +7

Note that the credit only lasts 1 month, unlike real Australian dollars which take almost 6 months to be worth jack shit.

      • +3

It's awesome that they do this and I've benefitted to the tune of $20 over the last 2 months as well but, I really don't need to buy anything more. Would rather wait till morning and keep the $60 in my pocket.

      • Yeah glad I picked up the Battery I needed on Friday - got the credit applied today and trying to find what is worth picking up for $46

        • +1

Engine oil, wiper blades, brake pads maybe? Two-stoke oil for a chainsaw or brush cutter or lawnmower?

It can be difficult at times, to find something to buy with store credit.

    • Same for me! Will you DIY the installation?

      • +1

        Yeah for sure.

I see they have a $20 install service that comes with 3 months extra warranty (23 months total on a century battery) so I could do that but…then I'd also have to get the car jump started to get it to Supercheap so I think I'll be finding the #10 spanner and getting it done myself.

Very straightforward job to be fair.

If anyone is an Australian unity member you can stack with 20% off gift cards

  • Any recommendations for a dashcam?

  • What's best versatile jerrycan

    • +1

don't get the pro equip ones from SC they are not that air tight and the gasket degrade very fast

the regular SC and bunnings ones are good…. grab one, close the lid the step on it to see if it leaks air… used to be $20 now probably more

    • Scepter, wouldn't get anything else.

  • +2

    Don't forget:
20% off Super Group gift cards if you are an Australian Unity member.
    10% off at ShopBack.

    • ShopBack has 3% currently. Did I miss anything?

      • +2

buy "The super 50 gift card" and swap to SCA

      • +3

Go to the gift cards section in the app and click on promos. It is The Super Group gift card.

  • What time of day does Supercheap pick stock for overnight online orders? Is it taken from stock before opening time, or later in the day?

The reason I ask is that I want to buy something that may sell out, and I'd like to know whether it's best to order online at 12:01am (assuming the discount is active then), or if I have to turn up at store opening time.

    • online orders are usually picked at the DC and ship out, not picked at the retail stores…usually process and ship out within 24hrs

      • +2

For me they are usually picked in the selected store provided that are in stock. Special orders and some bulky stuff from the warehouse.

  • Since shopback only offers $50 gift card
Can I use 5 of them in a single transaction online?

    • +1

3 gift card max per transaction

      • thanks, not good enough then :(

      • +3

        just an update:

I went to online chat and SCA CS helped me to merge all my $50s to a single e-gc and emailed to me.
It takes around 15 mins. Very helpful. :)
