With Both favourite cashback providers down for Vodafone (SB and CR) topcashback is only major cashback provider advertising cashbacks for the vodafone plans. If the other two providers could please share some insight as to why Vodafone is down on their site would appreciate it (thanks SB and CR)
You might be able to get away with keeping your sim only prepaid mobile active for 60 days (active means number active I assume - not necessarily plan active). I ain't too sure on this though may be rep can clarrify this ?
Best is Ofcourse IMO the 5G home internet plan (assuming you can get 5G coverage and you need a home internet plan too and/or want to switch away from NBN)
the cheapest option is $65/month on that ($60 if you got an active vodafone billing account with them already) for limited speed 50 Mbps 5G plan, otherwise 100 Mbps plan is another $5. This is ongoing price also So no need to change provider after 6 months, just for this price increase reason or something like that after 6 months.
First month is $0 for the 4G/5G home internet anyway.
Another tip:- If you have to move out 5G home internet router to another location, it should work automatically there too (coming from a friend of mine who moved places in city, aka he didnt need to call them to change location or whatever). Your should hopefully be same too I assume.
I cannot see any mention of how long the 5G home internet plan or NBN plans need to be active for to get cashback approved. But I assume they gonna treat 4G/5G/NBN as the 90 day active requirement. (JUDGING FROM MY LAST POST OF TOPCASHBACK AU of eBay plus, I personally think its just that TERMS ARE NOT UP TO DATE).
Cashback will take ages to approve though - 3 months plus so be prepared to wait for it though.
Personally I got mine approved for $35 from Cashrewards for 5g home internet plan ages ago (I am still on it because of various reasons such as getting modem for $0 after 3 years, slightly discounted rate, and good speeds, but importantly more value for money than NBN plans- for long terms- aka without needing to switch providers every 6 months or so)
Some terms from the Topcashback site
SIM cards must be activated within 30 days for all plans in order for cashback to be eligible.
For SIM only plans and Plans with phones, the SIM must remain active for 90 days after activation (unless stated otherwise by Vodafone)
For Prepaid plans, the SIM must remain active for 60 days after activation (unless stated otherwise by Vodafone)
Using a discount code or voucher code not posted and approved by TopCashback.
If you return or cancel your order then you will no longer be eligible for cashback and you will see the cashback move to Declined in your account.
Most retailers calculate the cashback based on the purchase amount excluding taxes and delivery charges. So if your cashback is slightly lower than expected, this will likely be why.
For Sim Only Plans and Plans with Phones, cashback is applied on the first month's rate plan value
For Prepaid plans, cashback is calculated on the price of the purchase.
Purchases must be completed immediately and wholly online.
Cashback is validated within 90 to 150 days from the date of purchase
Good to know
Cashback is paid once per transaction, regardless of the number of plans purchased on that order.
Eiligible cashback amounts will be confirmed within 90 to 150 days from the purchase date.
What to do and when
Any Missing Cashback Claims must be lodged within 100 days of your purchase.
