[VIC] Winter WonderLAN Gaming Event BYO PC Ticket 3 June: $18.05 (Was $20) @ The Big LAN (Beaconsfield)

100
OZBARGAIN

Hey all,

We've been getting requests from all over the place to run our LAN events in other locations. We're not quite up to running interstate yet but we have one tomorrow in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne.

This will be more casual and relaxed than some of our larger events, so if you're thinking about heading to your first LAN, or just want to relive some of the magic from LAN parties long ago, this is the event for you.

The ticket price includes both lunch and dinner at no extra cost, and we'll still have some fun tournaments and great prizes.

Date: June 3rd, 2023
Location: 7 Desmond Ct, Beaconsfield VIC 3807
Time: 12PM - 9PM
Cost: $20 - BYOC
This event is 18+ only and is a drug and alcohol free event.

Tomorrow?? That doesn't give me much time to cancel

  • 8 hour LAN? That be rookie numbers.
I miss the days of Lan Of The Damned and MorB. 24 hour overnight LANs were so much fun!

    • 9 hours :P

      • Woops, apparently I can't count 😅

To actually respond to your comment though. I'm with you, but we've tried running overnight and longer hours etc. and the reality is that it just isn't what people want anymore. These days you're lucky to have a handful of people keen to actually stay overnight.

          • @Jabob: The end of an era unfortunately. Truth be told, this ol' body probably couldn't pull off a big LAN like that these days.

    • It's fun until you're one of the people doing setup/packup :) although a 48 person one isn't that bad, I used to help with an Adelaide one with 500+ people at times, I'll be happy if I never move another trestle table again.

  • 7 Desmond Ct Beaconsfield = Beaconsfield Baptist Church.
Do they hire the place out on weekends or something? Or are we expected to attend some sort of mass beforehand/afterwards?

    • There is no religious content at our event, nor is there any expectation that you will attend anything else at the church.

We tend to work with churches for our events as they have good facilities for running events like this, and are generally happy to support our mission of creating fun events for the community.
