Not the cheapest ever, but still a reasonable price for those seeking some filtered air. I've had one of these for a while now and have been quite happy with it.

Good buy, was back $455 in August 2022. Worth every cent, haven't smelt a fart since.
Filters are on sale intermittently also.

This deal would be even sweeter if there was the usual $100 cashback promotion with Phillips but I don't think they are running it atm

  • recall it was around $350 plus 100 cashback last year, I could be wrong

    • I think it was $350 with the cash back, not plus. Unless it was the cheaper 2000i?

Nice purifier. I bought 2 of this model and 2 of 2000i series. So far so good. It is cheap. I bought it for $540. But there is $100 cashback from Philips and $80 harvey norman gift card . So took it down to $360 only. So check philips website. Maybe it is on the cashback offer list. Cheer.

    • Had a look at the Phillips promos site, no cashback currently on offer

Got mine for free from Amazon last year. Purchased a unit some time last year but the unit failed after 2-3 days of use. Amazon sent me replacement unit but that too failed after a couple days. 2 more replacement units later Amazon finaly gave up and sent me a full refund AND final replacement unit that, to my surprise, still works till date. Overall good purifier. Air filter's very easy to clean too.

  • Very sad to see that - first water was taken and now the air for business. It supposed to be free.

    • Australian air quality is near the top of the pack among developed countries.

These are for controlling allergens, controlling odours and really nice to have in bushfire season. They're also good for reducing pollutants produced by "business" but realistically unless you live in close proximity to a smelter or a highway you don't need one at all.

      • I have one of these and during this past week of very smokey night air in inner Brisbane due to hazard reduction burns, I couldn't even smell any smoke at all after closing the windows and letting this baby rip for a while.

The 7000i was cheaper than this not long ago. Better wait for that to come down again.

      • wow, cheaper than I paid a few weeks ago. Great price for latest model. Make sure you update the firmware to the latest version when you get it.

        • wonder how that compares with 3000i

          • @fredblogs: It's the latest model. Seems to have more R&D with new AI features coming via firmware updates.

            • @singingwolf: Seems like the 3000i has a better purification rate at 400m3/hr compared to the 7000i's 270m3/hr
