May not be the cheapest but I think it's not bad if you need it now. Stock levels may vary in your area.
There are other Brita products discounted as well.

Yea, sorry. Updated.
Just wish that outlet was at the top, instead of having to hang it over the edge of the kitchen counter
Then nothing would come out unless it's full?
This would require a pump. Or just elevate it above the bench to your desired height by putting it on something.
Gravity doesn't work that way ;)
Nothing wrong with wishes, but I wouldn't want to waste a wish on a water outlet to defy gravity.
I wouldn't mind if it had a power connector and a pump.
Or even better, some clever design thta forced water up and over into a top-mounted spout. Perhaps some sort of weighted float….I reckon someone with hydro science knowledge could come up with something game changing
thanks, OP. got the XL starter pack.
Just a note on these larger stationary tanks, filtered water will grow bacteria much faster than tap. Do make sure you consume or replace the water often (daily?) and do give the inside of these a good clean and disinfection every now and then (few weeks/a month?)
Good point, thanks for that
Better to get the jug and clean/wash with soft cloth or kitchen towels every month when you change the cartridge. There is some water retained just below the filter and that never gets moved so it will stink and grow bacteria if not washed monthly
Agreed. Whenever I change the filter on my Brita jug, I pull it apart, add a few drops of dishwashing liquid on the two parts and give it a good clean.
Had one, wish water flowed out faster.
This is the reason I don't get one of these
I got some shitty Bunnings version of this (still 9l) and always wanted it to flow faster - tried one of these at my parents house and it's so much better so surprised some people find it slow. I'm probably lucky coming from one I stand at the fridge forever for filling up a bottle :D
I was going to buy a Brita filter, but after some research I’m not sure if they do enough.
For sure filtering chlorine and other DBPs is beneficial (just prior to drinking). Anyone with some expertise, I’d be keen to hear their thoughts on also filtering fluoride.
This Huberman episode talks in depth about it:
