Was looking for a keyboard case for the iPad Pro 12.9. Saw this one go on sale sometime on Sunday and set a reminder. Using it to post this deal as we speak as I price matched at JB and collected. $10 higher than ATL but yeah, seeing all the iPad and accessory deals, this may be useful to some. Currently at 46% off. RRP of $349.95

  • For the clumsy mates! This touch pad's a ripper! Not as sensitive as the Magic Keyboard, but way cheaper.

    Good find OP, thank you.
Will have to wait for the 11 inch version.

Thanks OP ordered. Currently using the Magic Keyboard and IMO I think the Logitech combo is a better option for most use cases

I got this in the last deal and been using it since. It's a good product. Enhanced the iPad experience. Not sure how I was using an iPad without it.

    • Only used it for a day and I 100% agree

Good product, solid build, but quite heavy. Makes the 12.9 ipad a brick unfortunately. You may as well use a laptop once you kit the ipad pro out with one of these.

I have this and Magic Keyboard:
    - If more often you are working from couch, MK is better
    - If you have tight space like on desk, while travelling, flight, MK is better
    - typing experience is better in MK
    - MK doesn’t provide any protection from side.
    - You will be hasitant of using iPad when not on MK any cover as MK doesn’t support iPad cover. So this limit that you always have to carry MK and use in landscape mode aerating with MK
    - MK is dust magnet, so hard to maintain

    • Combo touch typing experience is good, if you haven’t used MK then you would not notice the difference
    • Combi tough provide great protection when or without keyboard
    • Need good space on desk

Happy to answer for any questions !

    • I like the protection on the Logitech version, but what about the area where the pencil sits? It looks like it’s exposed?

      • Yes that true. They are both equally bad for holding the pencil

    • Have you tried Folio? I have Folio now but the key travel is only marginally better than the old butterfly switches i had on my MBP.

I'm willing to spend a bit more on Combo (when the time comes) once i get independent reviews that Combo does indeed have a better typing experience than folio

    • How sturdy is the kickstand on the Logitech? How sturdy does it compare overall to the MK?

      • Can't comment on MK, but the Logi kickstand is rock solid. Very sturdy.

      • I would rate MK very strudy as the whole unit it can pick up from anywhere and could lift the whole unit. Combo touch kick stand is also good to get the job done. You won’t get any issues.

    • You will be hasitant of using iPad when not on MK any cover as MK doesn’t support iPad cover

My son just got an iPad Pro 11-inch, and will be using it for study as well as for sheet music attached to a music stand with an iPad attachment. From what you are saying this product will provide protection against damage even when the keyboard is not attached. Is that correct?

Some advice, if you just want to use touch or watch something with less space used, detach the keyboard and spin it 180 deg and re-attach, so the keyboard faces away from you. Now the keyboard serves as a platform and button presses do not register so you can use the flap to hold the screen up.

Just tried this. Works like a charm

Another tip, unless you figured it out already, you can fold the keyboard back from that state for a tablet experience! I find it nifty when I want to do some writing but don’t want to remove the keyboard.

        • Yeah the magnet still catches on the other side. I initially took the keyboard off completely when using as a tablet but reversing it is so much better of an idea

  • Word is that this works for iPad pro 3rd and 4th gen also:

Having used it for a couple of years now, still absolutely loving my Brydge (for iPad Pro 11 in - looks like there’s a 12.9 version as well).

    Available here, too -

Note, I have no experience with the older versions that have the unusual clips. I take mine out of the magnetic case with absolute ease every day to use on a stand for video use, which gives me more real estate on my desk).

And, they offer excellent customer service.. I had been opening the cover in a way that put pressure on the weakest part of the keyboard - the skin that the iPad sits in - and it was splitting a bit. I wrote to their customer service and they contacted me very quickly, confirming the issue. They sent me a replacement skin at no cost, no questions asked. It arrived within about a week, from the US. Very impressed.

I have now been more careful and the replacement is doing just fine.

  • I wish the 11 inch was on special

      • Was hoping for this one

Ah I didn't see the 11" had the Combo version as well. Looks like the last decent drop was in January this year to 169 as well
