Apple haven't announced a new iPod in the last 2 announcements have they? Is there any reason to think they're going to announce a new model this time?
id count on one being announced with a new dock connector. its only item they sell thats most due for an update. They are trying to clear out all the old ipod connector stuff due to the new one coming in.
If you only use this for music and browsing the web though this device is perfect.
if youre wanting games id hold off and get a higher capacity one.
The current iPod touches are 2 years old now, and its probably time for a refresh. Its always hard to tell with Apple, but since iPod touches are still selling fairly well, its likely that Apple will keep it around, thus increasing the likely hood of an refresh.
If only they can start having a deal for the 16gb, my son has 8gb and I constantly need to delete games so he can download new ones or upgrade games
yeah, same here. There is no 16GB model, the next highest is the 32GB

Last time they had the iPod touch at $178 with the free iTunes cards, I paid cash and the best price they could give me was $177.

They're really trying to clear the Boomboxes huh… You can get the Boombox for $63 delivered currently. Wonder why? I thought they were good?
I considered buying one before but it's really tiny, about the same size as a roll of toilet paper and it's only mono. Also Bluetooth streaming is very low quality. Im still using the anywhere 2 even though I can't use the dock

I use my iPod touch every day to browse the net, check email/social media and agree 8 gig is a bit restrictive but the only real grip I have is the battery life. when using wifi I only get a couple of hours out of it at a time.

I bought one today from Nunawading to give my daughter on b'day next week. Goodguys only gave me the ipod but not the boombox. Instead they gave a piece of paper with instruction to claim boombox- online. After successful claim which will be delivered by 8th October 2012. Is that good …?
More here, while I was filling the form I find I need to provide address for delivery and receipt/docket number of purchase reference (quite reasonable), but they also want to know two contact phone numbers, including an email address and your date of birth (why dob?).
Not to mention that they entered my name and address in the system for record and included in purchase docket, so giving a reference to purchase docket should be enough for delivery purpose.
DOB was required to make sure you are 18 or over.
