was 19 last blackfriday from same seller. still good price.

    • +1

Yeah eBay genuinely regretted funding so much of that deal since the aim was to get people to sign up to eBay Plus and it sold out wayyyy too quick.

    • Yeah, I have that one used as my TV backlight

      • that's my plan too.

      • Give us a look? Is it good?

      • u can just buy a usb powered one for like 10 bucks if all u need is static ambient backlighting

  • So thsi is 10m… if i onky need say 6m and cut it , the remaining will be useless?

I just need it at the back of my 55inch tv. Actually maybe just 5m ish

    • +1

No need to cut came with 8 x 1m extenson box

    • Its 2m then all the rest are 1m extensions.

      • but in @ Chimot case. to use the balance 5m, a separate adapter will be required to use it somewhere else, correct ?

      • Can you buy individual adapters for each extension??
If let's say I wanted to put 5m behind the TV, and 5m under the kitchen cabinet

        • exactly my question. not many thing can use the whole 10m unless you want to decorate a room

          • @CyberMurning: This was my issue. I only used 6 metres and had 4 x 1m extension laying around. I wanted to buy an adaptor, but at normal price it was more expensive than buying another or these 10m packs with a discount. Clear was nice enough to negotiate with a seller to get a discount on the standard adapter so i was able to use the leftover extensions

  • People who bought it last time, can you please give your reviews? How long it has been working well?

Is it single colour or different colour along the strip?

    • They are a lot better than those cheap one from eBay or Amazon, colour change by app

      • Thanks mate.. Is it single colour throughout the strip or you can have different colour along the length?

        • What do you mean difference colour? App control the colour change and all change at the same time.

          • @superforever: You have answered now. So the whole strip can be of one colour only rgb) .

            • @amsaini15: I think most light strip only one colour at a time.

              • @superforever: You know better mate. I am just trying to learn what options I have

                • +2

@amsaini15: You need to look for addressable rgb (or ideally rgbw) if you want to control each lights individually.

              • +2

@superforever: Some light strips have individual led control so you can control each or sections of the strip to diff colours.
I have the Kmart ones behind my tv, they have addressable rgb

                • @rainbowunicorn: I am sure some can do that.

                • @rainbowunicorn: Wait, Kmart do addressable rgb strips? Dope, how are they going for you?

I spent over half a grand a couple years ago for LIFX strips because they were one of, if not, the only non-hub companies that had addressable strips at the time..

                  • +1

@WasBargain: I didn't spend quite that much in Lifx strips but while they are brilliant colour wise, i find them and the Lifx bulb I also have to be far less stable than the yeelight strips I've had for almost 7yrs

    • +1

I have been using it daily since last black friday. It is rock solid and looks good behind the TV. I only used half of the 10m.

    • Mine has an issue with one of the extensions where the colours are off. I can fix that by applying pressure to the exposed electronics along the extension, but I don't want to hold on to it all the time.
Thankfully I only need 7m to go behind my TV thingame, so I've just put 3 of the extensions including the dodgy one in a drawer, where I keep various lengths of wires.

  • Can you buy this without ebay plus?

    • Not at this price as title.

  • Can you install these under kitchen overhead cupboards or around the stairs base?

    • Why cannot?

      • Thanks mate.

      • +4

Cannot you do, install or not install, there is no cannot.

    • +18

      No I'm busy sorry.

      • -1

I can, if he/she pay me enough

      • Haha

  • Anyone who has these, could you chime in about how the 3M adhesive is on the back?

My problem with the Kmart ones we got were they started falling off from where we stuck them.

    • could you chime in about how the 3M adhesive is on the back?

So far still on the back of my TV

    • on back of tv is fine. I had two. One on the TV and the other on metal. The metal one came off so I just grabbed double sided scotch 3M tape and used that. Havent had an issue with it at all.

      • Thanks for the responses guys.

        I'll give these a go at $24 for 10M it's a decent deal.

  • Can you add more extensions for a 20m one?

    • Not 100% sure, I read somewhere there are a limit.

    • You can add more but depending on the total output power, you may not be able to achieve full brightness. Would have to check the specs of adapter and led specs.

  • This is RGB only and not RGBW right?

  • Does the power Adaptor have any IP rating so we can plug this outdoor eg. an Alfresco?

  • Is this long enough for 85inch?
Also, can this sync with Tv picture?

    • +3

      1) it is enough for 144inch tv so yes, it is enough for a 85inch one. This can give your TV a static ambient light
      2) no, this is also 1 color only for the entire stip, you want an addressable one. I have one behind my tv (addressable and in sync) and I do not believe it is worth it.

      • The description states its a responsive light so it will change color i guess?

  • How are the colours on this one? I have a similar LED strip from Kmart and while the remote advertises a million colours, the colours are actually so crap. The "white" has like a green tint, the yellow looks almost like a fluro gross yellow, etc.

    • Colours are much better on this. It's not RGBW so don't expect the whites to be any good.

  • -3

you can get 30m for under $50 off amazon any day
this isn't much of a deal
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BWDWWWS3?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_…

    • Comparing apples to oranges. There's a big difference in quality and features.

      • wouldn't say that - one is "home" kit, voice activated etc, the other is all rounder and waterproof as well so you can use it outside even, the led strip is the same

        • +1

the led strip is the same

Not the same, those cheap one die very quick.

          • @superforever: sure, had myn outside in the rain and weather for a year, no issues

    • Bought one of these cheap led strips a couple years ago.. they are absolute crap.

I've since invested in Philips Hue and Xiaomi ecosystem and i've never been happier, seamless integration with existing services/systems is something you can't get with cheap led strips.

  • got this deal last year (for less), ran them around the ceiling of my game room, didn't quite make it the whole way around unfortunately so pretty tempting to grab another set… i wish they were addressable, but for the price can't complain really

  • Thanks OP. Looking to get one as a backlight for my TV.

  • Can you cut anywhere within the 1m strip?

    • most of these strips have certain cut points on them, generally its pretty clear where

      • -4

I mean THIS one. I have other ones, some you can cut every 10-20cm

        • +7

and like I SAID, i've never come across one of these strips that isn't cuttable… I've just checked mine and it has VERY clear cut points on it, there is even a little picture of scissors to show where. First point from end would be about 20cm, middle portion is probably double that. I HOPE THIS ANSWERS YOUR QUESTION TO YOUR SATISFACTION

    • cut anywhere within the 1m strip?

1m is very short, why would you want to cut it? After you cut it, you can't extend it anymore.

      • -1

Are you serious? If I need only 50cm, I rather cut and get rid of the other 50cm than keeping it.

        • Of course you can cut it if it is the last one but don't expect you can extend it anymore.

        • Are you trying to buy a light strip for ants?

          • @rumblytangara: I need 9.3m or no more than 9.4m so I want to cut there. If not possible to cut there I rather not have it because I don’t want any excess.
