[WA] E-Scooters Weekly Rental - $29.95 (Perth Only) @ Beam Solo

80

Got an email about weekly subscription for an e-scooter. Seems like a decent price at $29.95 a week given it'll be a higher end model than what you would get from JB and you could hand it back when you want.

Seems to be in Perth only though at this stage and not sure how long the $29.95 pricing is for, normal price $49.95.

Should probably include rental provider in title

Should probably mention that rental price does not include helmet.

      • Im not sure why the down vote.
Other rental scooters include a helmet in the price, and you are required to wear an approved bicycle helmet or a motorcycle helmet by law.
You can buy one from Beam or provide your own. Either way you'll need to factor the cost of a helmet into the hire cost.

This is nowhere near high-end, if you're planning to use it for more than a few months purchase would be much smarter.

Powerslide into the swan river for 29.95 🤟

  • You have to recharge yourself too

seems like a great price for a weekend of boozy scooter olympics events with your mates - scooter racing, scooter vert, scooter street, scooter joust, bumper scooters, scooter road rash, scooter dressage (for the more refined bogan)

Plus possibly scooter unit in the emergency ward.

    Not really in "Perth"

    Available in Rockingham only.
Pick up from our Rockingham warehouse
1/4 Day Rd, Rockingham WA 6168

So a pleasant 48km ride/stand back to the city at a max of 25km/hr.

Mind you, the battery will likely be flat before you reach the city, but that's a good way to meet new people and make friends as you knock on doors in Beaconsfield.

    • If it was me I'd put it in my car and then drive back to Perth.

      • Its a 100km round trip? That's almost 10l of fuel in my car. So times 2 for return is 20l. So that's $36 in fuel.l for a $20 saving?

        • Dunno I'm not a WA resident. Your idea of riding the scooter sounded silly when it can be folded up and taken in a car. This is different to the rentals on the side of the road.

  • In all seriousness though. I am assuming this is a trial in Rockingham (and soon Esperance) similar to the trial in Bunbury a few years back. Where they (Beam) have now introduced pay per use scooter hire.
Seems Rockingham might be a good target audience for short work commutes and beach trips. Or hanging with the eshays at Rocko Central.
