how does it compare to ikea one?

    • $20 only! That’s a nobrainer!

    • +5

Max torque of 3nm. This Xiaomi one is 5nm.

      • +2

        For reference - Bosch IXO 5/6 - 4.5nm

It does however lack variable speed compared to the IXO 6.

        • Can put a clutch on the bosch

ikea one designed to get ikea furniture done, that's about it. This one is more powerful with more bits. You are mainly paying for the modern look and portability. And strangely been used on Tiangong Space Station.

I personally would get something brushless for this price. Something more traditional with more speed and torque adjustments

        Milwaukee!

        • This escalated quickly

        • +2

You lost to Miami. Move on

        • Bucking the trend

        • I personally went with a Devon 5283, sub $100 for a brushless, similar small size! 120nm, 4ah 80wh battery, with detachable side arm, impact mode on top.

Ironically never had any gigs that needed it, poor thing's been sitting on high speed mode, slapped on some kneading pins/whisks and I use it to bake cake.

No you didn't read an ad, cuz you can't get it in Aus.

I got the black and decker one or whatever through Amazon deal and it can drill through plywood. They all probably could if you'r gentle enough.

Something to consider: The IKEA furniture that I’ve assembled has used PZ head screws which are slightly different from Philips Head & using a PH bit on them is more likely to strip them.

The IKEA screwdriver appears to have 3 different PZ bits (just looking at the photo, unconfirmed) and then Xiaomi appears to have 1 PZ bit (PZ2).

Might not be important but I thought worth calling out.

I already have a proper 18volt one, but this should be good for when I'm working on finer electronics

Xiaomi Wowstick is what you want for electronics.

      • I thought this was it? You think it's too big and clunky for precision electronics?

Thanks, birthday present for my 13-year-old sorted.

Nice! Did he like screwing around?

      • He will get screwed.

For assembling furniture or products I’d say the Ozito is better as it has torque settings. This Xaoimi is more powerful (3.5Nm vs 5Nm) but you can use a drill driver or impact driver if you need power. The Xaoimi is likely to destroy your screws or timber for home assembly (re: not wood working) applications.

  • thanks! bought one to pair with my other electric pen screwdrivers for the wife

i have so many 12v/18v hand held drills around the house this is nice that all the bits are in one place - and usb c chargable!

Coupon expired - "This coupon can only be used 100 times."

    • Coupon extended for another 20 units

      • Must be out again, only 117 units :(

  • How does one prevent over torquing with this? Got a Dewalt driver that’s way too powerful and will strip anything if not finessing it like your first date. The big Dewalt drill however has torque settings to prevent this but it’s a full size drill.

This did the job just fine and comes at a lower price:

  • I've had one of these for nearly 3years now and it's still going strong. It stays in my work bag, doesn't take up too much room and is super handy.

  • PSA: this is not a massage gun

you'd have to have a few screws loose to purchase this one

  • Want this so bad but code wont work said used 117 times and cant go ahead

  • Does anybody know of a good adapter that fits this electric screwdriver and allows me to use precision bits from the precision screwdriver kit?
