I get biltong of ebay $25 for 500g and capped $10 postage I love the stuff. except I got a craving and ate 1.5 kg in a day :( my jaw was killing me but I couldnt help myself

Good price, especially with the free shipping. Does anybody know if you can divvy up the kg into various flavours to try a bit of each?

I miss the Geronimo deals, I do still like their jerky. I wasn't overly fussed with Jim's jerky, good service & price but it just wasn't really to my taste…although the drywors was pretty damn good! :)

I would also like to try thirds of each, hopefully the rep replies tomorrow :)

For those people that want to sample each flavour, just order 1 KG of any flavour and mention in the order comments that you wish to receive free samples of all our flavours.

Thanks although kind of pointless. A sample is for those who wish to try before buy, including a sample in bulk purchase is good but less effective for getting new customers.

I'm with Mikinoz on this. New customers like myself will be far more likely to commit if they aren't locked in flavour-wise!

Whilst we appreciate the sample gesture, personally I'd have been far more likely to buy if I didn't have to gamble that I would enjoy a whole kg of a single flavour only to be tantalised by a few small samples of others that I might like better!

Drop us an email via our contact page on our website with your delivery address.

We typically do send samples, but as Ozbargain is a new platform for us to communicate with our customers, we did not want to be overwhelmed with sample requests.

  • How does it compare to DJays?

I ordered their sample pack and didn't mind it, have just been waiting for a sale :P

  • Has anyone tried this beef jerky before? I love Geronimo's beef jerky but its too expensive. I really didn't like jim's jerky very much.

  • Just placed an order.
    Thanks!

I came home from work for lunch to find my (generous) samples in the mail, thanks SydneyMeats. So, nomnomnom…here's my mini review:

Original: Nice smoky flavour, not salty at all, you can really taste the meat.
Honey Teriyaki: Same hints of smokey flavour as original, not overwhelmingly sweet…again, complements the meat, doesn't overpower it.
Hot Chilli: Once again, smokey flavour, neither overwhelmingly salty or sweet…got a good zing to it!

The texture of all three was really to my taste, I like my jerky pretty robust so it needs some chewing…it's perhaps not as dry as Geronimo but neither is it as moist as Jim's…a pretty happy middle ground IMHO. One of my few gripes with the last batch of Geronimo I got was that the Original was very salty, no complaints with that here!

    Conclusion: I'm ordering!!! :D
