How it works:
Until May 31, 2023, Box is giving away up to 30 GB* of free storage to new users. This includes our standard 10 GB of storage when you sign up for a free account, plus:
10 GB of storage if you sign up during this promotion period
5 GB of storage if yousign up with the Box Mobile app
5 GB of storage if yousign up with your business email
my only qualms are per file limit of 250MB and no sync for Linux. Otherwise it would make a killer cloud backup for CCTV events.
I had completely forgotten Box storage is a thing. Dropbox barely registers these days amidst Google Drive, OneDrive, and iCloud.
I think I had about 200GB of storage in Box at some point in time. Just logged in and could see that now I have 50GB. They had limitation on file size, that's why I switched to Dropbox (where I have about 25GB).
Curious how BOX is still a thing tbh (even Dropbox is technically almost "dead" in user numbers). 30GB is a joke these days to use.

250mb limit is ridiculous, no wonder I forgot about Box
I think I have a few hundred gigs. Haven't used it. But free cloud storage is free cloud storage
And no auto photo uploads as far as i can tell either
Too many restrictions with Box free account. Better off getting 5 google or ondrive accounts.
You can combine 5 google drives?
There was a time when they gave out 50GB free. Had created 2 accounts and linked them using a shared folder. Still going strong.
