Gaming PC: Ryzen 5 5500, B550M Mobo, RTX 3060 GPU, 16GB 3200MHz Ram, 500GB NVMe M.2, 650W PSU, $899 + Delivery @ Wells Tech

203

This is our Gaming PC Stealth Build, focus on bang for buck and squeezing every bit of performance for your money.

We've sharpened our pencils again and hope we have brought the OzBargain community another great WellsTech deal. Both of our previous deals sold out in record time and were shipped to new homes within 3 business days. Our business model is to become another quality volume system builder. Why? Because everyone wins when we have healthy competition in the PC Community. Most builds are shipped in under 48 hours!

Our website is structured so you can only purchase if parts are in stock and on our shelves now. We control the available bundle system numbers to ensure we can meet our shipping times, because there is little worse than waiting for your new PC after you have paid your hard-earned dollar bucks.

We are based out of Perth and we ship nationally.

This weeks deal;

  • DeepCool MACUBE 110 Black mATX Case
  • Corsair CV650 Power Supply
  • Gigabyte B550M K Motherboard
  • AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU + Wraith Cooler
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3200 MHz Ram
  • Western Digital SN570 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD
  • PNY RTX 3060 VERTO 8GB GPU

Free delivery to the Baldivis/Rockingham area in W.A

We will be adding a "Bold" range over the coming weeks which will add RGB lighting and some other desired features for those desiring a more aesthetic and bold look.

EDIT: After some cruel words that hurt my feelings, I have dropped the price by another $100 to make it a genuine Ozbargain. I also think this positive reward for negative behaviors is exactly what the internet needs :-)

How does this compare to similar builds like techfast's $879 3060 ti deal? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/770962

    • +3

This post doesn't compare that well, particularly compared to this one from less than a week ago: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/771991

      • Price updated

    • Not good as this deal costs $960 if you buy the parts separately now.

      • +1

Unfortunately techfast and enigma deals seem to be topping this one right now. Still liking wells tech due to fast dispatch and warranty, but 3060 ti is quite a bit better.

      • +1

        Price updated to reflect

  • +1

Worse than your previous $999 deal from last week.

    • +1. Worse than 3060 ti deal. GPU and power supply are better.

      • +1

price drop to reflect your feedback

        • +1

Revoked my neg for the quick turnaround.

          • @kehuau: Appreciated!

          • @kehuau: Same. Although still wish it was a 12gb 3060. Still a decent deal for someone needing a system now. If not, HODL

  • +2

Doesn't seem like good value compared to the usual prebuilts.

Using the 8gb 3060 is unfortunate, especially when the same system with a far superior 6700 or 12gb 3060 is equivalent in price.

Might as well build yourself, or at least go with a system builder that offers better value for money over raw pcpp pricing.

  • +6

    3060 8gb at this price - no

  • +6

You guys fail to realise that time is also money.
Sure, maybe you can buy the parts yourself for $50 cheaper - But you are solely responsible for any warrantable issues that occur.

Just because there were better deals in the past doesn't mean there will be the same deals the following week.
I don't feel the need & cannot be bothered to explain marketing tactics to people that don't realise this either.

TDLR: If you price up parts for a prebuild computer that includes full assembly, fast shipping & warranty. Then see that there is only $50-100 service fee… That's a bargain.

Using this same logic, it would be unreasonable to expect a builder to construct a house for free after you purchase the materials.

    • +1

      Its Ozbargain mate.
Don't bother explaining logical things that make sense.
People here don't look past the cost

      • +1

        tough crowd we are!

    • +2

I appreciate you AussieTechM8. You're a decent human - the rest of this lot… (looks around with side eye).

      • Apologies Spoontah wasn't meaning to be cruel! Love what wells tech has been doing recently especially the $999 system from a couple weeks back

      • Yo jizman, that's hilarious!!! One thing you will find here is that good humour (which you have displayed in spades) goes a long way.

    • +1

Except there have been better prebuilts here. This is garbage value especially since it's the 8gb model of the 3060 which is 15% slower than normal 3060.

      • -1

        So?
        Go Buy one of them…

People seem to forget that this is a Perth based builder…
Live in Perth, you get used to paying more (has to be some cost for living in Paradise) or you learn to wait weeks whilst Australia-Post drop-kicks your delivery across the continent.

Oh yeah, and good luck with warranty repairs when you need to RTB to Melbourne

        • I don't need to buy one since I'm not in the need for an upgrade yet (unless there's a nice bargain which this again isn't).

This is also ozbargain, not ozfreeadvertising. Bad actors with bad prices should rightfully get negged. Thankfully to make things worse for Spoontah there were 3-4 other far better prebuilts posted shortly after they posted this deal so they fortunately won't make as much.

Warranty will be the same for any online order, you ship the PC back and wait. It's not anyone else's fault that you live in Perth, though having lived there before Paradise would be the opposite of what I'd describe that hellhole. Turns out living far away from the majority of the country increases shipping times, who could've imagined. This being a Perth based builder also means that most people will take weeks to get their order, another reason to neg thanks for that.

    • +1

A builder won't build your house after you pay him to either.
      Prove me wrong.

  • Don't worry Spoontah, this is the market, try to arrange something better.

    • Best offer for this week. I'll try again next week.

      • +11

Nah, who needs a week. Price dropped.

  • 3060 8gb?

    • +2

Yep, says it right in the description.

  • Make it a 3070 and charge the extra $100

    • Maybe a RX 6700 XT - 3070's are still a bit ouchy.

      • That’s a fair compromise. Do that and you will sell a ton

        • +1

          Heard!

          • @Spoontah: Do…update deal and make money. Time is money. Don’t waste it

  • +2

Garbage value, especially compared to prebuilts like these which will be 45-50% faster. Just another low tier SI looking to make a quick buck off clueless people who don't know the massive difference between all 3 3060s.

Are you really comparing this to a machine with an A320 + 2.5 SSD.. & a machine that has bottlenecked components?
      lol

"Anger is often caused by a lack of understanding"

      • +1

There's little to no perceivable difference between a sata ssd and an nvme ssd for gaming, direct storage still isn't a thing outside of 1 (shit) game. It's also the same cpu+ram+cooler+tier of PSU, the motherboard won't make a difference for such a 'low end' part. The only thing that will bottleneck is the cpu in esports games that are heavily cpu bound but it's going to do that in both builds…

Why sacrifice 45% performance for nothing? The 3060ti can even pull its weight in 1440p gaming which the 3060 8gb can't due to a crippled memory bus and overall slower speed.

I love people who are confidently incorrect. This build is targeted towards people like you.

        • Haha. I'm definitely not here to buy.
You would be surprised by how many members are only here to collect data.

I was simply saying you're comparing apples to oranges.

Sorry to ruffle so many feathers

    • You're not wrong about the 3060s, but there are better and clearer ways to make your point.

Maybe just point out the advantages of the 12gb or Ti versions, and suggest he look at them for future builds.

Or even something like a 6600, 6650, or 6700 as a better "bang for buck" alternative

  • +1

Feel like I should comment here, since it's my deal.

For the most part JerraJones is on the money, the limitations on the A320 that stop you from using NVMe OS drive don't impact gameplay much, if at all. Load times are where you feel it. But if you are anything like me, load times suck. Each to their own. I much prefer NVMe - even if the performance difference is only in the load times.

Also, JerraJones is dead right about WellsTech being a low tier SI. We are seeking to build volume to gain purchase power. That takes time and even after a few years, we continue to build our brand and customer base. Lucky I'm patient. I also don't have a stock of A320 motherboards lying about and most of my Disti's are no longer selling them.

Like other "low tier" SI's, I am restricted by what the Disti's have available for me to purchase, or what I can land from O/S that still makes sense after import duties etc. I'm posting deals on Ozbargain to clear old stock or create some interest. In terms of value, my proposition is that (for the most part) I am selling a system that is cheaper that the everyday consumer can buy the individual components for. When I can do good deals on 3060Ti cards etc I will - it depends on what I can access, and the price point I can negotiate with my buying power.

I was called out earlier in this post - and adjusted my price to ensure that held true.

I'm not going to compare my products to the awesome peeps at TechFast, or Engima, or BPC or anyone else in the community who are also trying to put great products in front of gamers and the Ozbargain community. I'm not throwing rocks, I'm happy doing my thing. I also respect the rights of JerraJones to have his opinion and voice it. You'll all draw your own comparisons.

I'll happily accept the feedback from the community in this thread, and perhaps re-position some of my future deals. /peaceout.

  • Just a couple of Suggestions:

As others have noted, the 12Gb versions of the 3060 are available at the (same) $499 price-point

If you're going for "bang for buck" AMD build, maybe consider something like the 6650 XT, which should give slightly better performance, at a slightly better price-point.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's not a wireless motherboard? So should probably offer a wireless option
