Oh look, a graphics card for sale, with peripherals!

(Great work on the price for this bundle!)

  • +23

I need some way to filter all these new PC deals out of this website, I upgraded in January - a month before the PC Wars began - and I have regrets.

    • +4

yeah i feel you man. i bought just as the GPU prices started dropping last year and watched as my build popped up $500 cheaper only months after i made my purchase.

    • +2

      Go to my account > edit > blocked > added blocked deal store > techfast.com.au, www.bpctech.com.au, enigmapc.com.au, nebulapc.com.au.

    • After seeing your post here, I feel a bit better as we bought the exact same system 1 year ago for $400 more !!! Have we seen the bottom yet?

      • +2

There's no "bottom" in the long term, prices end up lower eventually, but GPU prices are still inflated well above the historical trend line.

  • +9

Any deals for a 4070 specced machine?

    • I'm ready to pull the trigger on 4070 system

      • Yeah me too

  • +20

I think processing time is a must included detail when post this kind of deal

    • +5

Bpc and techfast have been disappointingly quiet on this. I've asked a few times and always get ignored.

Plan for around 2 months from ordering.

  • +3

Is there a big difference between the a320 and b550m? Will the ram run on 2666mhz with the a320?

    • +3

So two of my kids, run an A320 and a B550, both with a Ryzen 3 3100 and 3200mhz Ram, identical GPU's and ~2% different FPS, no issues. The main difference is the Pcie X4 GPU slot on a B550, PCIe 3 lanes and overclocking support. I've been thinking about upgrading them to a 5500.

    • +12

Going above 3200mhz and running 4 sticks of RAM can be an issue if you read the MB spec sheets, but keep in mind these were determined on much older CPUs. The memory controller is in the CPU, and since this includes a more modern 5000 series memory support is also going to be improved. If you are only using 2 sticks of RAM there is nothing to worry about.

The real difference is the implied power delivery on the board. A bottom tier A series chipset will be expected to have a bottom tier CPU power delivery to match, however will be perfectly fine for a 6 core CPU. Just don't try to upgrade to a 5900x/5950x.

  • that looks good!

  • +7

Good deal but expect to wait over a month

    • +2

      month? optimistic!

    • +4

Yup. From the last 3070ti deal it took exactly one month for PC to ship from the order date.
The wait did detract from the excitement of pulling the trigger, but otherwise the only major short coming of the deal.

  • +1

Wait over a month or spend a few days taking your time building your own PC and being able to pick YOUR OWN parts.

    • +14

I am an avid supporter of building your own PC. But you can’t buy the parts for the cost of some of the deals that have been posted recently.

Pair that with some people not wanting to build their own PC for whatever reason (no time, not comfortable, couldn’t be bothered etc.) and these are great deals.

I personally wouldn’t get these parts and would rather pay extra to get better quality components but I am a computer snob.

    • +1

Considering a 3060 Ti is at least 600 bucks, I'd struggle building this myself for the same money.

  • can i downgrade the video card to get the price down?

    • +1

You can sell it after you get it..

      • how much it will be? $400 ish?

        • +1

Used ones are going for around $400 so yes around that

          • -6

@solidussnake: i rather they put whatever one in there and make it $400 cheaper for me.

            Possible @luketechfast ?

    • +9

Because prices are dropping all the time, I wouldn't be happy paying now waiting two months and then finding the same deal for $100 less, would you ?

    • +3

I don't mind wait times as long as the company states it.

    • +17

      Is that a serious statement?

Because if they are going to take your money now, then they should have a reasonable delivery time. Reasonable in my opinion is 2 weeks. The whole "we are allocating parts straight away so can't refund your money" is a crock if they don't deliver for 2 months.
They refuse to state the real delivery times because then more people would be inclined to just source their own parts and do it themselves. Also, it's entirely possible that someone's computer IS actually broken which is why they are ordering another one.

    • +1

Wait 2 months?! That’s June. Might as well wait for end of financial year sale and save more.

  • +7

Need some good deals on quality branded GPU, MOBO, RAM and CPU bundles without all the other crap. I have good quality parts (PSU, Case, SSD, etc) just need the major internals. Can't seem to get those bits any cheaper than with all this other stuff though. Seems like a waste for me.

    • +1

Shoppingexpress.com.au have decent bundles on MB RAM and CPU. You will have to hunt around for a GPU, personally I am not concerned about GPU brand though

    • I’m in exactly the same situation. Dying to retire my 6600K and R9 390.
Would be keen for a 7xxx series CPU, decent mobo+RAM and probably a 4070ti.

      • That makes my 2500k and r9 270 feel old, should probably give them a well earned retirement too

  • +2

Want to recommend this to a friend, but reluctant without any ETA provided.

    • I ordered mine from techfast on 22/Feb, received it on 21/Mar

    • My last purchase was 5 weeks.

    • If it's any help to anyone, I ordered from BPC in March 11th and received the completion email on 11th of April. Price did drop during that time for my system by approx ~$100 to $150. This price difference is just based on the pricing of these prebuilds and the "wars" going on between tech, BPC, Enigma and Nebula of late.

I am however content as I'd been lurking in ozbargain since Covid hit (yes I'm a tightarse true ozbargainer) and finally got a mighty system that meets my needs/wants

      • would bpctech refund the difference

        • I wasn't aware that BPCtech(or any other business) operate with a price guarantee?

    • +5

i think you might struggle building better for 279 + GPU

    • Did you not see the PCPartPicker at the top of the comments? That is the cost of doing it DIY yourself and add shipping cost to those parts if those outlets charge you for it which would be another 100-200 extra.

  • I want a 3060 12G

  • I dont need a PC (although I do need a GPU for upcoming games) but I love these deals.

  • The upgrades seem disingenuous.
They are charging full price for an upgrade.
Eg b550 being $109 or an extra 16gb of ram being $109 as well. At least mark them up to a decent price (50% profit instead of 100%)

  • They must be getting these A320 motherboards for sub $50 if they have to charge $109 for a budget b550 upgrade.

  • This isn't necessarily a question specific to this build. But currently considering upgrading my PC (which is ancient by OzBargain standards). Last time I just sourced the parts and built myself which back then saved considerable money.

Is there still money to be saved doing it yourself or is it negligible?

    • Look at OP part picker prices and you tell me.

If you reuse your case, psu, then just buy mobo, ram and CPU, it will be cheaper than a whole new computer.

      • Is the part picker list accurate though? I hardly think someone would come here to sell their computers then provide a list of parts that was cheaper or on par.

Not sure why the hostility, I think it is a fair question. I struggle to believe that Techfast is doing so much volume they are able to save an extra $250 + margin on each computer. Without doing any research I had presumed that I could obtain all the parts for a similar price in which case you are paying for someone else to put it together.

        • youd have to do research yourself to determine if the partpicker list is accurate, just google the parts and see if you can actually find cheaper prices.

historically yes prebuilts were always more expensive than buying parts and building yourself but currently it's in a weird spot where that's not necessarily true anymore. the downside might be that some parts in prebuilts aren't from as popular brands, potentially meaning they're not as quality, but for a consumer who thinks thats a negligible risk, doesn't want to spend the time and effort looking around and purchasing individual parts, and likes the idea of not having to build a pc themselves, prebuilts seem like a great option.

Can you make this deal available on Amazon? I have a voucher I need to use and would buy this right now if you made available on Amazon

    • Not sure why I'm downvoted

      • Because Amazon (profanity) them with fees so they would never discount it there for one person

  • Dang this ain't bad TBH but am after a ~$500 build myself. Max $600. Will wait and see with these great deals lately what comes up that's good enough for me to commit with my hard earned wages!

  • any deals coming within the 2.5K budget? Thanks Luke

  • Hey I was wondering how long does this item take to ship if I changed the ram to 32 rather then 16
