Gaming PC: AMD R5 3600, RTX 3060 Ti, B550M Mobo, 16GB RAM, 500GB M.2 SSD, 650W PSU $999 + $50 Delivery @ Enigma

690

Hi everyone,

We are bringing back our budget build today. We have manually priced the 3060 Ti and the Team Group Night Hawk Ram in the PCPartPicker list as there was no comparative price.

There are some upgrades available in these deals.

Enigma PC offers the following services with our PCs. We believe these services are what put us above the rest:

  • Fast email, phone and live-chat support
  • Friendly and fast warranty (you can change things in your PC as you wish, it won't void the warranty unless it directly caused issues)
  • We use higher value components where possible
  • Windows comes preinstalled with all drivers, 3DMark and SignalRGB.
  • Since launching, we have refined our QC processes. We now have every PC QC'd by the initial builder and a teammate will multiple checks.

If the prices are wrong in the PCPartPicker, please let us know so we can fix it.

LIMITED TIME & LIMITED STOCK

If any of you have any suggestions on future builds, please let us know in the comments. Upvote your favourites and we'll do our best to accommodate.

If you're someone who purchased from us before, let us know what you think in the comments!

Do you like our PC configurator? We spent a long time working that one out. Please, if you have constructive feedback, let it rip!

I like how these are marketed on the core components, rather than brand, i.e. B550M instead of HyperMega Dragon Slayer motherboard.

It’s a humble reminder that there’s very little difference in performance between models these days, just features.

    • +4

not necessarily true. vrm performance can be pretty different between boards..

  • Since when was a budget B550M board $200??

    • +1

It's clearly what they got a bulk deal on and can market that as the price… there are multiple B550-M boards available for less than $150. The cheapest is an ASRock at $109.

    • +2

To be fair it appears to be one with "integrated" wifi which does come at a bit of a premium… though whether that price is justified is another question lol

    • A new Asus prime budget board is $170 at least without Wi-Fi and Bluetooth - I made the mistake there!

    • +1

Bigger issue is that in about a month you'll see Ryzen 5600 and 4060 Ti builds at or near this price.

  • +4

Next 4070 build deal in the pipeline?

    • I'd like to see this too, a quality 4070 build. They're "meant" to be dropping in price and is more bang for buck than the 4070ti which also requires an expensive CPU component to pair with too.

  • How do these guys compare to BPC and techfast? I've read horror stories of the other two and understandably with low prices something has to give.

    • +1

      Can't have everything yo!

    • BPC, which I use to quite like, now ship their high end graphics cards separately and have the user install them.

    • Haven't bought from them personally but most comments on their posts seem to be positive. Personally I've bought a system from BPC and would recommend them, great value builds and great shipping methods

    • While I don’t think you should outright avoid buying prebuilts, mainly because of the warranty (a bigger benefit if you live close by to the store), it really isn’t that hard to build a PC as you indicate.

This is a decent deal all round, but the PCPP pricing is a bit deceptive. For example, the 500gb ssd is listed as $99. If you were building your own, you’d spend an extra $10-$15 and get a 1tb sn770.

      • +2

Yep, or even just a $99 1TB Evo 970 plus.

And why pay $679 for a 3060TI when an RX 6700 XT can beat it for $100+ less?

With that $100+ saved, you would get a 5000 series CPU instead of the dated 3600.

      • -2

if you dive into any prebuild you will notice some of the parts eg motherboard and ram are usually cheap rubbish components and still charge more for the pc overall. If you take the cost of labor off a prebuild and look at better parts you will get a way better PC for the same price or less. premade are always overpriced no matter what you think they look like on paper. The problem is a lot of people are uneducated on PC components and their pricing of them, as well is what is a better part or what is a cheap rubbish part.

        • +2

This is true but you can't get it done in 5 days. Apparently Dispatch is 5 days!

          • @Naigrabzo: I could buy all components and have it fully built and running in under half a day no probs.

Why would it take 5 days to: pop down to the local centrecom/msy/cpl/Scorptec etc, throw the parts in a box and install an OS?

            • @Grish: Will take much longer than 5 days to get all these parts in my hand. I don't live anywhere near those shops nor can be bothered to go to each one buy seperately.

        • +1

There is a big difference between a prebuilt PC from a large manufacturer and these guys. If you click the link you'll see everything's name brand parts other than the RAM, which doesn't matter too much as all RAM comes from the same few OEMs regardless of brand. As for price, it's $999 how much cheaper do you think you can really get?

          • +2

@Ryballs: Our RAM is manufactured by TeamGroup, a renowned brand with a strong reputation, but not as widely known in Australia as some other brands. As a company, we take pride in utilizing premium components, which sets us apart from our competitors.

We understand that when we offer competitive prices, there may be some compromises, and while we acknowledge that some components could be of higher quality, doing so would result in increased costs. However, we can assure you that all our choices are of good quality, sourced from reputable brands. We strive to carefully select quality components from these brands while maintaining an excellent price-to-performance ratio.

    • +8

Anyone can assemble a PC, it's only a few parts that click together and only go one way, it's hard to get it wrong…

In order to understand pricing of parts, you don't need to "make your own PC" but rather just put in a little research effort.

Also, there's nothing wrong with purchasing a pre-built PC, lots of people prefer the convenience and indeed it's quite often the cheaper overall option too.

I'm not saying you don't get what you pay for, but some of these TF/BPC/etc. are able to get you the same components for less than buying them yourself.

      • -1

its not about just "assembling" a pc is about understanding the parts they're putting in to maximize the performance for their money. Imagine a car that people just put random cheap components in to make a car and not realize what they do or what performance they will get and then they wonder why the car isn't performing the way it should, or why it keeps having issues. Same with computers choosing the right parts and understanding what parts do is how you build a good computer for your budget.

        • Yeah I don’t think just anyone can assemble them either. There’re a few sections where some very expensive mistakes could happen. You certainly need to do your research as you state.

        • +2

It's actually kind of the opposite to what you're saying.

Usually best performance a.k.a bang for buck is about buying the lower grade/budget range of gear that meet a particular performance metric.

Generally it is never the premium top tier gear.

For example a sub 1k 3060ti build can offer the same "gaming" performance (using gaming as the performance metric here..) as a 3k 3060ti build.

Where the 1k build is using entry/budget level components it can still meet the needs of many people.

For an enthusiast, entry level gear is generally not acceptable, even if the resulting performance is similar to something much more expensive.

It also depends on what you consider high performing, ie perhaps a highly efficient PSU is more important to you than CPU core count and boost clocks. Or perhaps you value RGB and you only rate cosmetics (lol, I hope not!)…

          • -1

            @Grish: kudo :-)
TechFast deals tends to be 'bang for buck'.
            I bought this i5-11400F 3060Ti deal for $868-> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/758454
IMO, they are decent & good quality parts: I question the mindset of those OzBargainers who commented otherwise.

Here are the brand & model# not listed @ deal.
            MOTHERBOARD Asrock H510M-HDV
            GPU 3060Ti 8Gb Galax 1-click OC
RAM Adata XPG Spectrix D50 RGB DDR4 3200MHz
SSD Western Digital Green 480Gb SATA
            PSU Gigabyte P650B 650W 80+ Bronze

            • @ab c: From all the examples you could have picked, you chose the company who put the lowest end products.
All the products you listed are low tier. The only good item is the processor. Hence why they sold it for so low.

              • -2

@maverickjohn: IMO, these 'low tier' parts do the job & hence my comments 'bang for buck'.
My bad: I should have wrote 'I question the mindset of SOME OzBargainers who commented otherwise'. Some buyers have different criteria & that is ok.
BTW, definitely NO overclocking: Mobo & PSU are likely to fail & 'high tier' parts would be more suited.

                • @ab c: I agree with you there that they do the job.
I think you would be happy with it and it's more than enough for what you need. It's just that it brings peace of mind when people buy established brands that have a little more r&d in their products.

                  • +1

@maverickjohn: Isn't that the point being made? Those parts are from established brands.

            • -1

              @ab c: So what is the ACTUAL-performance of these 'low-tier' parts ?
Gaming Overwatch2 @ 1080p ULTRA-setting: ACTUAL-fps is approx. 150 (nvidea frame counter) & this is in line with what an i5-11400F | 3060Ti system should-be able to deliver, see the link below. NO-overclocking: CPU & GPU.
              https://www.gpucheck.com/game-gpu/overwatch-2/nvidia-geforce…

And hence my comments 'IMO, they are decent & good quality parts: I question the mindset of SOME OzBargainers who commented otherwise.'
It's quite hard to distinguish 'professional' commentators (MIS-information & bias) from those who share their real gaming experience with their ACTUAL-systems.

              Enjoy your games.

      • Any can, but most people won't or won't put in the effort.

    Intel deal again please :(

Any chance of upgrade to a 4070?

  • If I upgrade the case to the one with a glass front for an extra $20, does it not come with 4 RGB fans? they disappear from the configuration summary…

    • The upgrade case comes with ARGB fans for free- you just need to select them (there will be a $0 option)

      • Hey thanks for the reply, that's good to know!!..
Is there anything we can do about the $120 upgrade for the 5600 CPU? there's only $60 difference between their individual prices online, but this is still a good deal regardless, I'm interested…

        • Unfortunately that's the cost we have to charge.

Due to the nature of how we discount our pricing does not always align with the difference you see from other retailers, this is so we can get you the best deal possible

          • @enigmapc: I understand, it's still cheaper than sourcing the parts myself and paying extra postage.. I'll consider the extra 60 bux an assembly fee lol..

Hey, is there any truth to what jasswolf is saying:
"in about a month you'll see Ryzen 5600 and 4060 Ti builds at or near this price"

This is a present for a kid's birthday early June, should I wait or get this deal ya reckon?

            • @Username3RR0r: There has been no official announcement from Nvidia regarding any new GPUs so we don't have any information regarding a 4060 Ti.

But based solely off our experience in the market and if such product did exist, we don't think it would be selling for that price.

            • +1

@Username3RR0r: Think you should wait, these deals come up fairly regularly, at worst you'll just getting the same build

              • +1

                @xcess: They do, hey..
and if there's no deals in time, I can still build something similar with the same budget.. thanks.

i just bought Cyclone Nvidia - III (Ryzen 5 5600 | RTX 3060 Ti) this from them for 1699 +50 shipping last week 11/04 6pm, called them next day to cancel it 9am as they open 9am, said cant cancel anymore (lol) as they already started building them. i guess they're working 24/7.
ask any discount if they can do. said no more.
after a month this deal? they could have told me to wait a bit more deals to come for loyal costumers.
im not a happy costumer dealing with enigma

    • A pretty poor experience. Sounds like customer service ends as soon as the money is handed over…

      • +1

yes a really bad experience for me, i have emailed them before ordering, waiting for there reply which takes a while. and said there is nothing coming up any sale. so i took his word and bought it. i believed on his words.

    • that's a bit concerning…

      • just make sure your getting them somewhere with a good costumer service.

    • Hey, 11/04 is 3 weeks ago, are you still waiting!!?

      • no, got them after 5 days. delivery was good. but my point is costumer satisfaction is poor.

      Hi Lyken,

Your PC was not the same as this deal, If you spec an equivalent PC on this deal your total would be $1717 excluding shipping

We do not allow cancellations after parts have been allocated. We do sometimes work late (up to 10PM) to ensure we can get all our PCs out in time. Your parts were allocated shortly after you placed your order (11/04/2023 at 9:21PM to be exact)

Your PC includes a 3 year replacement warranty, windows 11 Pro and a PCIE wifi card.

Your PC also shipped within the advertised time and was delivered under 24 Hours after it left our warehouse

      • -5

im sure all your pc products have 3 years replacement warranty,

windows 11 pro and pcie card wont cost $400 isnt it?

all im saying is that you should be helpful with your customers. especially customers who are genuinely sent emails for inquiry.

        • +9

The PC you purchased can be found here: https://enigmapc.com.au/products/cyclone-iii

Our OzBargain Deals only include a 1 year replacement warranty by default.

          When you:

          • Upgrade the fans to ARGB Fans (and a case with a tempered glass front panel)
          • Upgrade the CPU to a 5600
          • Upgrade your storage to 1Tb Gen 4 Storage
          • Add windows Pro
          • Upgrade your warranty to 3 year

          Your price is: $1717

We have reviewed the phone call our customer rep had with you, they told you they did not know if we will be posting a deal soon or not, they did not say they we would not post a deal again nor did they specify how long it would be before we posted a deal.

The person you spoke to is not involved in posting or speccing up these deals so they have no idea when it may be posted and what the post may contain. If they had asked asked when it will be posted, we would give them the same answer we give our customers - we don't know - it depends on our build teams capacity and how many orders they have to fulfil and if we can secure stock at the right price point.

We appreciate your feedback and we will note in order for us to ship PCs within the advertised timeframe we need to have strict rules regarding order modifications and cancellations and generally do not allow modifications or cancellations unless parts are still unallocated.

We acknowledge you feel you did not get a good deal, but based on the pricing provided above we believe you did get value for money.

          • -1

@enigmapc: this was the deal that i was after, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/768638
i haved ask them if there is an upcoming sale with this spec,
but your rep said there is no upcoming sale. not that they dont know whats coming up.

maybe you guys need to retrain customer service. give them some guides whats coming up.

            • +4

@Lyken: That deal was created 20 minutes before it was posted. Even if it wasn't nobody would have been able to tell you it was going to be released as the RTX 4070 had not even been released and we would have been under a non disclosure agreement when you spoke to our Rep.

We apologize for your experience, but we don't think there is anything else we could have done.

              • -8

@enigmapc: i disagree as a seller theres always you can do to make your customer happy, that if you value them.
all im saying is i am not a happy customer and customer service is not helpfull.

      • I'm not on any side here, but just curious what does "parts allocation" entail?

        • +4

          Parts allocation means:

          • We have captured and confirmed your payment (This means if we refund the PC, we still pay the credit card/paypal transaction fee)
          • We have allocated the components for your build
          • Your build sheet has been printed and given to our build team (meaning you have been allocated a builder)

By cancelling an order after parts have been allocated:

          • We pay a transaction Fee
          • We now may have surplus components/a custom PC that we will need to sell in another deal
          • We have potentially wasted one of our builders time
          • Depending on how many hours after parts allocation, we may have a fully assembled PC that is starting/has started its benchmark journey.

Benchmarking takes the majority of time for us, we take it very seriously and each PC goes through at least 24 hours of benchmarking/stress testing through a variety of tests without failing, if it fails, we diagnose, replace faulty components and restart the whole PC stress test.

These may not seem like a big deal, but when we sell PCs at these super cheap prices, these costs make a huge difference.

          • -3

@enigmapc: but i doubt building pc after 9:21pm asoon as you guys received the order. and i called you guys to cancel it by the time you open your phone calls.

  • With some renovations, I placed an order.. even with the expensive upgrades it's still a good price & a convenient deal, I'll post updates as they happen..

  • Hi, could you please do a 4070 Ti or better build?

    Thanks

  • +1

Bought https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/765263 when the last deal came out from Enigma during last deal.

Customer service was great when I called up later on to get my PC shipped express.

Only downfall is I went for the glass front paneled case over mesh front panel - 3060 Ti overheats consistently while under load with gaming due to lack of poor air circulation in case, (which i fixed by removing glass side panel and it works great then) spoke to Enigma, their only suggestion was to send the PC back up to Sydney (at their expense) which I respect but i needed the PC for work reason's as well so could not part.

Asked if i was able to send the glass front panel (at my expense) and if they could swap it over for the mesh panel to which I got no reply, twice on two separate occasions.

    • Hey mate,

      Thanks for the kind words!

I am unable to find your request (we have a lot of people who ask to later swap the case front so I am unable to specifically identify your messages).

The front panels are not interchangeable on the mesh/non mesh cases, so we would be unable to send you a front panel to swap with your front panel, we would have to rebuild your PC in a new case.

With regards to the no response, We sincerely apologize for this. We would not do it on purpose and your message may have been missed. Regardless this is still on us (110% our fault) and we sincerely apologize for the poor experience.

      • +2

For 'low end' systems, there are many NOVICE-buyers who rely on you to deliver systems that have NO weak-link(s). Be it design flaw (eg poor air flow from solid-front panel), or systems IN-compatibility (technical stuff). Your long term viability depends on this.

Glass front panel is poor air-flow.
May-be the answers lie some where below,
        1.IN-experience design:gaming systems run hot & MUST have good air-flow…none commented @ deal-> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/765263
2.staff working hard trying to meet so many demands: make mistakes,
3.EnigmaPC trying to stay alive with thin-margins: overlooking the glass front.

You are testing a niche market 'customisation & flexibility' & experiencing its challenges.
BPC has many complaints in this segment, while TF is not interested.

Fake credit card details: must have a bullet proof process. Funds WILL be taken-back & it'll hurt.

It's written with good intention: constructive feedback.

        Good luck.

        • Hi ab c,

Thanks for that - its not a be all end all issue - I fixed this issue with undervolting GPU and amended fan curve now PC running cooler with same(ish) performance.

However it would be good to note in new product descriptions that I did have this issue with running GPU under load and new buyers (should no change be made in case) should consider the fact if they're not buying extra fan's to cool this case will need to tweak the GPU itself.

With that being said will want to reiterate Enigma PC were great with customer service side of things (taking away them missing last request to replace front panel (which I now know wouldn't have been possible anyway)).

          • @triipwire: Agree, EnigmaPC is trying hard, working long hours & did offer a fix which wipe-out their thin-margin.
If you re-read my comments with a positive mindset, you'll see that I support 'customisation & flexibility'.

Also, at the link below, I commented 'Go easy on them: staff are under the pump.'
            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/772330

            Happy gaming.

  • Any chances on a 4090 build soon? :))
