$3 Bonus Cashback on $30 Amazon Gift Card @ Cashrewards (Activation Required, 3000 Cap)

5240

Hi again everyone, hope you are all well. This offer is limited to the first 3000 activations. If you have any issues with True Rewards' new payment gateway, please reach out to them on 1800 850 739 or email [email protected] as they are monitoring this promo. Please don't refresh the widget after submitting payment (wait for confirmation that order is complete). Once activated, you have until 4pm AEST to complete your purchase (even if activation limit is reached). You'll no longer be able to activate the offer once the cap is reached. Thanks for your support as always. Stay safe, and enjoy :)

There may be a delay of up to 45 minutes for the $3 bonus to show in your account (please don't worry). You do not receive a tracking email for the $3 bonus.

$3 Bonus Promo Terms - read carefully as it will save a lot of questions:

  1. To be eligible for the $3 bonus, you must first activate the promotion on this page, then purchase an Amazon gift card of $30 denomination (or higher) via the Gift Card Page on Cashrewards (link is on the activation page).
  2. After activation, gift card purchase must be made by 4pm AEST 02/05/2023. Bonus will decline if purchase is made after 4pm AEST.
  3. Activations are capped at 3000. Once activation limit is reached, you can still purchase until 4pm AEDT (provided you first activated the bonus).
  4. Bonus is eligible on purchase of an Amazon gift card of $30 denomination (or higher) in a single transaction.
  5. Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as pending upon activation of this offer. Bonus will be approved within 7 days of the associated qualifying purchase being approved, as per the terms of the store.
  6. Bonus is over and above the advertised cashback rate which still applies to the transaction.
  7. Gift card purchases through the Gift Card Page are available only via desktop or mobile browsers. They are not available via the Cashrewards App.
  8. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  9. Cannot be used in conjunction with Cashrewards Refer-a-Friend or any other promotion that may be active at this time.
  10. Review all terms & conditions of this Digital Gift Card prior to finalising your order. All terms are set by the retailer, not by Cashrewards. For queries regarding the purchase of your Digital Gift Card, contact True Rewards on 1800 850 739 or email [email protected] Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) 9am to 5pm Sydney time.
  11. Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

Do not activate the bonus unless you intend using it - it will decline after 14 days unless a qualifying purchase is made. For general tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Make sure you're subscribed to our newsletter so you don't miss out on promotions and great deals. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

For anyone having trouble while using Firefox, you have to turn off Firefox's anti-tracking stuff first.

    • Click on the shield symbol at the left of the address bar
    • Click on "Protection settings"
    • Select "Custom"
    • Un-tick "Cookies", "Tracking content" and "Fingerprinters"
    • Click "Reload All Tabs"

Now follow the "Go To Deal" link on this webpage, and make the purchase.

Once the purchase is complete, turn the anti-tracking back on:

    • Click on the shield symbol at the left of the address bar
    • Click on "Protection settings"
    • Select "Standard"
    • Click "Reload All Tabs"

    That's it!

Yes, be wary of this. I had a transaction fail at the final stage. Money was withdrawn from my account but never received gift card verification emails or gift card. Cash Rewards washed there hands of it and am now in a battle with True Rewards to recover my funds or the gift card.

      • That sucks, worst case just do a chargeback?

  • True Rewards doesn't remember card details anymore?

not new, just never understood the popularity of free $3

You don't need to understand and no need to post if you don't understand.

          • +2

@superforever: but I do want to understand. that's what you do when you don't understand and want to - you ask questions. this is a forum, right? or are some people allowed to ask questions and some not? that's amazing.

            • +2

@shabaka: Did you check how many posts TA posted?

How many $3 we saved a year + others? And only less than 1 min to get it?

That is how cashrewards save you up bit by bit and the large product range we can get from Amazon.

              • +1

@superforever: I am well aware of TA his hard work and heritage, I just don't understand these $3 posts is all.

            • @shabaka: $3 cash back for $30 spend is 10%. You don't like getting 10% off for not much effort?

Just checked my email and I've done it 19 times. So 19 x $3 = $57 for very little effort. Makes sense to me, but all good if it doesn't for you.

Probably takes me 1 minute each time? So 19 minutes for $57, so ~$170 per hour. I don't make that much an hour, so I'm ahead personally. 🤷

              • +3

@John Kimble: like I said, I've dealt with CR before, I do understand 30 minutes of my time to get $400 back or $300 back like I did when I bought from Lenovo and Sony. $3 is less than skipping coffee and that takes me 0 seconds, I just get coffee from the office machine when I feel like saving a bit.

that's a lot of effort to save $57 dollars, when an hour of doing my job gives me twice that..

that's OK I think I got my answer, thank you! :) much appreciated.

as usual doing my downvoting duty, I have my moments once every few weeks lol

                • @shabaka: The only thing risky about the big cash backs is the chance of it not tracking or being declined (which you read bout here on occasion). I would be much more annoyed not getting $300-$400 vs $3.

                  • @John Kimble: very true. I was lucky with mine. lifetime cashback in the magnitude of about $1.5k. see I get that, not $57. checking for that amount to track.. then checking occasionally if it is approved and can be withdrawn.. it all adds up.

                    • +3

@shabaka: Also people like me, not always buy expensive stuffs but a lot of small stuffs from Amazon, like toilet paper, shampoo, etc.

                      • @superforever: so do I, I get a lot of stuff from Amazon, and I use ozbargain posts for that. however for me the main benefit of Amazon is free door to door next or same day delivery, saves me oodles of time getting stuff I need

also prime is solid value with those benefits above. plus free games (picked a few AAA titles in the past 1.5 years). plus Prime Video and Music.

saving extra $3 for which I have to jump hoops (get gift card claim my cashback etc.) feels like subtracting from all the time and cost saving benefits above. but that's my opinion. and I haven't been convinced otherwise yet. just heavily downvoted lol

                        • +1

@shabaka: That is why people buy gift cards on every TA's deal and one day they will need it.

No expiry date on gift card anyway, only 1 min and gift card most of time will track and approve immediately.

    • Yeah well as its around 10% off Amazon and if you are like me/perhaps most people you buy items when they are at their cheapest and this makes them even cheaper.

      • -5

        10% of $30 is still just $3

        • +2

So what? These deals come up quite often so you can just keep adding to your balance if you shop from Amazon frequently.
Much prefer these compared to the $5 off $100 gift card deals that come up.

          • -2

@keejoonc: ok. I mean, I get the 16% cashbacks at Lenovo, when I spend extra 30 minutes total and get $400 back

but spending extra time just to earn $3, time also adds up you know. here

            • @shabaka: Lenovo sells everything we need on a day to day basis right? What a silly comparison to make.

            • @shabaka: The petrol thing is completely different. That I doesn't add up if you go out of your way. Doing this would be like if there were two petrol stations next to each other and you went to the cheaper one instead.

        • 10% of $30 is still just $3

The annual inflation is supposedly 7% so you are ahead in the game by 3% :D

          • -4

@IMadeYouReadThis: yep great deal then! I feel $3 richer already

            • +2

@shabaka: The amount of time you have wasted here arguing senselessly, you have easily lost more than $3.

              • @DoctorCalculon: I thought about that, naturally! but that's just one case, what about all my time on ozbargain as a whole? you know, you gain some, you lose some, life's like that.

if I didn't argue here, look how much I would have missed out on human interaction. and that, I'll have you know, is priceless!

    • $30 if you have 10 accounts

      • -1

now we're talkin'! that be the true Ozbargain spirit haha

  • +2

prime membership is gonna cost $79 per year. Lol

  • Has cashback limited the cashback allowance to only $5 per month ? or has this always been the case ?

Sales are limited to one Amazon gift card purchase per member per day (irrespective of denomination). Cashback for Amazon gift cards is limited to $5 in total per member account, per calendar month, irrespective of the number and/or value of gift cards purchased in that month.

    • wtf is this lol

      • its what's listed under "special terms" when you purchase an Amazon GC via Cashrewards site.

        • +2

I believe that refers to the normal cashback for Amazon GC, which is at 1% on Cashrewards. Not the bonus. So you’d have to buy $500 worth of GC per month to max out the $5 cash back limit for the month.

  • Thanks TA!!

  • Thanks TA.

  • Thanks TA.

  • 3992 clicks? Promo still going?

    • Some of the bots have maxed out their credit

No mentions of errors during checkout, is it just me this time?

It's the first time I've had errors with CR/True Rewards, and now I have a pending $30 on one of my cards I have to keep an eye on.

    • Finally went through, I used another browser and the same card.

Fingers crossed that pending transaction disappears.

      • +1

Just in case anyone ever comes back and sees this, the extra pending charge on my card disappeared in a week or so, no action on my part was required.

  • Just need $20 off Prime membership now :-)

  • +3

I had loads of errors. Why TF do you work with that shite payment provider?

    • Looks like they have a new fraud/Device ID check, so could be related to that.

    • +5

As per my notes in the OP, there's no tracking email sent for the $3 bonus. If you activated the bonus, go to your My Rewards and you should see two separate entries - one for the $3 bonus, and one for the $0.30 cashback for purchase of the gift card. Thanks,

      • got it thanks

  • Thanks TA:)

  • any idea where we can buy 12 month memberships that can be redeemed with a code? (Similar to the Telstra deal but buy outright). I thought there would be more places selling such a thing, eg the use case could be to gift people memberships via a code.
But yes this is to counteract the price increase to $79…

    • +1

You can get a complimentary lifetime membership to Cashrewards with the secret code OZBARGAIN

      • +2

        secret code OZBARGAIN

        DON'T POST IT HERE XD

    • It might be time to break from Prime as increase to $9.99/m (42% increase, ridiculous) but include Prime Video and Music.

      No Prime = Save

      • Cheaper if you pay yearly. Works out $6.58 p/m

        • +1

I pay monthly as I can switch off on off seasons but the new $79 yearly sub that includes Prime Video and Music might be worth the stay

  • Thanks a lot

  • Checked ozbargain earlier than usual today, but MISSED OUT AGAIN!!! :(

@TA, any reason why these "time-sensitive" deals with a set cap are always posted around mid-morning, and never in the afternoon/at night?

    • Mid-morning is when TA usually slips one between the cheeks, and briefly gets that generous feeling from the unavoidable and temporary relaxation

  • Thanks Ta Legend 😌

  • +2

All members that activated this promo then purchased an Amazon GC prior to 4pm AEST will have both the cashback and bonus approved in your My Rewards. Enjoy :)
