  • Is it automatically discounted once added to the cart?

    • You have to go into VIP and redeem 100 points.

      It says:
Redeem now to get a code for a time-limited discount on this LEGO® set. Add this amazing LEGO set to your basket and add your code before you check out. Your discount will apply right away.

The code is valid on LEGO.com & for telephone orders only from 01/05/2023 until 07/05/2023 and must be entered during checkout in the field labelled "Enter a Promo Code". Discount will only apply when Item 75331 The Razor Crest™ is included in order. Delivery charges may apply. You can only use one promotion code per order.

    • I read the LEGO terms to say you need to redeem 100 points to get the discount.

JFC how on earth is a Lego set that tiny worth $900!?

        • -2

          Nine. Hundred. Dollars.

I would expect at minimum it can actually travel through hyperspace for that.

          • @caitsith01: Yawn. Another hysterical LeGo iS LiTtErALLy dAyLiGhT rObBeRy!!1! post.

The average Australian spends between $3,000 - 4,000 dollars annually on non-essential, entirely discretionary purchases.

We could probably scrutinise your personal spending habits and find $900 dollars annually that you spend on something of questionable value to others.

Stop being a hypocrite. It's a hobby, like car modification/performance, golf or alcoholism; people drop thousands on those pastimes annually and no one bats an eyelid because of the magic of arbitrary, societally-enforced norms on acceptable behaviour but somehow when it's Lego bricks it's the crime of century apparently.

You can easily resell Lego sets and make back most of what you spent on them, if not turn a profit (especially for sealed sets), but the same can't be said for most of the crap that Aussies waste money on every year.

Scummy approach by Lego Australia. The Crest is 5x VIP points in Europe and North America. Not sure about a discount or requirement to redeem VIP points for a discount.

    VIP = Very Ixpensive Playthings.

  • So basically this means the set will be $719.99 and you should earn approximately 6471 points (719 x 4.5 x 2) which is good for a couple of decent rewards or gets you close to a $75 discount.

You also get X-Wing Starfighter™ (30654) for free, only worth about $10, but yeah.

  • I really want the new UCS X-wing, but there seems to be no VIP discounts for it.

Anyone know if they will have better promo on May 4 itself?

    • +1

Right now, you'll still get the Death Star for free (which the eBay market currently values at $89.00), the X-Wing polybag, plus the double points. There is a chance the Death Stars won't last until May 4. According to YouTubers the May 4 promo is a coin.

      • coins have been exhausted.

        • What ! Is something going on and I missed it :(

      • Bugger, thanks for the heads up. Will have to pull the trigger soon, rather than later then.

        • Party over . They were ordering $240 getting coins and Death star .
Not worth it just for Death star :(

      • As predicted, the Death Star didn't make it until May 4. Basically, all the good deals are now on May 1.

  • Just get the poor man's version (Lego 75292) instead.

  • Do the points get applied instantly to the account when making a purchase or do you need to wait for delivery or something? Not sure if I purchased something cheaper to get some points and then use for the Razor Crest

    • Points are added upon dispatch.

  • So, the next question is do I risk it :) How good are they with shipping. Is it likely to ship in the next 5 days?

  • WTF going on . 1st time I've been in a queue there.

almost 1 grand for a set of lego is hardly a bargain…….

  • I wanted to get Mos Eisley but it's sold out. :( Ended up getting this instead.

    • That's a troubling first-world problem.

The UCS Razor Crest is a far better anyway, imo.
