The website sure builds a lot of confidence…
They're legit - small old school retailer across the road from Fast Eddie at Logitech Shop

Was this the recent one with voltage issue or was it specific motherboard related?
AMD have identified BIOS issues, board partners are rushing out fixes now.
So its not a CPU fault per se, but it appears that the X3D CPU's are more prone to the failure.
Was waiting to try the new series, looks like I’ll wait for it to iron out
same
As with the 5800x3d, the big cache is sensitive to over volting. Hence the 5800x3d was pretty much locked down so you couldn't overclock. It is the same with the 7000 x3d CPUs. If the individual or the motherboard vendor do not stick to the recommended voltages for the x3d range, due to overclocking and increasing voltages, it may result in damage to the CPU. Hence all the motherboard vendors and sending BIOS updates to restrict overclocking the CPU.
Sorry I didn't see this reply.
What you say is somewhat correct, however the BIOS updates going out at the moment are really more for managing the SOC voltage, more than the CCX's or cache…
Its been found to be running upwards of 1.4v, especially when EXPO is enabled.
Whereas in reality anything over 1.3 should never be needed.
Also, it was found the over current protection was faulty of just disabled on a lot of boards, which the BIOS will hopefully also fix.
It was motherboard related where they forced out of spec voltage when using EXPO.
'forced out of voltage spec' yeah yeah spare me that, how about AMD just told board partners that the hardcap is 1.3v on the soc beforehand?
its clearly a amd issue why defending them and deflecting the problem on others? who in there right mind would know the 7000 x3d models cant go over 1.3v or they will go boom shakala. You cant tell me that amd didnt find the problem during development and they neglected on this issue and thats that
Mate, since Milad X and the launch of the 5800x3d, AMD has set guidelines as what are safe voltages due to cache sensitivity. It has been advised that the cache is sensitive to voltages above 1.3-1.35v for a long time. Just do a Google search. This has continued with 7000 X3D series.
Unfortunately on this one you are just saying random and incorrect conspiracy theories. Considering that they haven't been able to find a wide spread problem beyond a select few overclocked CPUs says that it has been blown out of proportion. Motherboard vendors are doing the same as what they did with the 5800x3d and locked down the CPUs voltages with BIOS updates.
I think you need to look at the GN follow up video mate before jumping to your usual conclusions.
Now for an AM5 MB deal.
We missed out on some crazy 1/2 price deals a couple weeks ago :(
Yeah, that MSI X670 Carbon looked sweet. Was 5 hours late when I saw it, otherwise would have grabbed one for sure. :(
Looking at a Asus ROG B650E-E for the 4x M.2 slots, Q-code, Q-release features, but it's just so darn expensive
It was gone in minutes so even being on time might not have helped.
With that price should be buy CPU and graphic card separate?
i dont know what you mean mate, this is the top end cpu for gaming, its going to be expensive
Is that the one with 3D graphic card as well? So that we don't need a separate graphic card?
you still need a proper dgpu mate. it have the 3d v-cache system which in short just gives you a lot of extra gaming performance, but that doesnt mean it doesnt need a gpu
I think you're confusing this desktop CPU with the new AMD laptop CPUs that have the 780M iGPU, which is pretty good in its own right.
@coxymla: OK, thanks. I am confused with so many models now.
You might be thinking of an "APU" an accelerated processing unit. They're manufactured by AMD as a way to house a CPU and GPU on a central die. This allows for efficient resource sharing between the two components, and it offers great core and thread counts at an affordable price. …Thanks for that definition, Google.
I believe the latest AMD APU available to buy is the 5900HX. There are more recent models but they're only sold via prebuilt PC manufacturers, so it's annoying to buy them separately (third-party chinese importers, mostly)
Wow price already dropping paid $749 on launch day very happy with the performance 300+FPS on CS:GO lol
you are on 4k? probably can crack 1000 fps if you are on 1080p
Yes 4K Dell G3223Q, doesnt help my poor gaming skill, feels like everyone is using an aimbot these days I always have negative KD!
Just curious, what gpu do you have?
Good price as it's only been out a fortnight in Australia and is the best gaming GPU if you can also stomach the AM5 upgrade.
This seller seems to have good prices on other things as well (e.g. 13600K for $470 whereas $485+ everywhere else)
I wish they had some desirable mobos and ram so I could buy all together.
h-e-l-l-o!
(both the deal and the seller)
