Didn't know CR2016 is interchangeable with CR2032!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Button_cell
CRxxyy batteries
C = Lithium, 3v nominal
R = Round/cylindrical
xx = xxmm diameter
yy = y.ymm heightMost battery sockets have spring contacts so they can accept a slimmer battery if both terminal can make proper contact.
It's just CR2032 and CR2016 has a huge difference in capacity meaning the smaller battery will die quite faster (I'd say twice as fast, if not more). And don't stack two even if the size allows - you'll overvolt the device.
no it won't. it's half the thickness of 2032…
It still works. Just need a bit filling, or raise the bottom spring higher.
I need CR2450 , Woolworths want $7.50 for one (rip off) and lots of other shops are sold out of them. Bunnings doesn’t even stock..
Let me guess - smart home sensors? Probably Zigbee-based. With sufficient filling CR20xx should still work, just won't last as long.
I'm also looking for deals on CR2450s as I've got about a dozen sensors using such battery. Should have gone with AAA-based solutions.
Close, for the Hue smart light controller
@xmagic: Bought a CR2450 for $2.99 delivered

If someone wouldn’t mind putting a pack in the mail for me, please PM me. Need some 2016 for remote shutter and wristwatch.
reject shop has toshibas for the same price
but its luck of the draw if its 2016, or 2025 or 2032
I bought their 2032 and it has half the battery life than big brand one
Buy from eBay can get these coin batteries for a lot lot cheaper
I've not had good luck with Ebay button batteries. Many are fakes and those that are not are super poor battery life compared to real brand name ones..it's false economy if you need to change them 3 times per year instead of 1
Bargain still alive.
Still plenty left on the shelf !!
That's great price for a 4pk. It should work in most CR2032 devices, too. However the capacity can be a problem (half size of CR2032).
