I have this set, I feel they really slacked off on this one, it has some cool details, but there's areas I feel they just rushed it, like on the hood you have some of the lego "dots" showing instead of having a flat surface on top.
Just feel it could have been a lot better.

I have bought Lego from Amazon plenty of times, but last week I received 1 shipment in paper bag instead of carton. The Lego box is all squashed up. Not sure if it's a one-off mistake from Amazon.
All my speed champions were in separate orders and arrived in paper bags. One box was crushed (but whole) and two were in good condition but could be considered as damaged if I were a box collector. So no, I don't think it's a one-off.
I find if i order a few sets, they come in a box but this might depend on if some are coming from different fulfillment centres.

Its only about 10% difference for damage boxes . I don't really care .
Depends on the size of the Lego itself and the person packaging I suppose. I have had a few Lego StarWars arrived in paper bags in the past as well.
Same. With smaller sets like battle packs, I order at least 3 at a time (or wait until I can order with something larger) to guarantee they get shipped in a box.
It's really depend on your luck I think, my latest Lego X-Wings arrived in a paper bag last year… luckily, the driver takes a good care of it and arrived undamaged. 😂
Same here. Sending it back for replacement.
I have a box full of Mario Costumes that I ordered in 5's but always came by padded bags about 60% damaged.
