$49.95 Business shirts + 25% off Sitewide + $19.95 Delivery ($0 over $199) @ Charles Tyrwhitt

820

Hey guys, previous deal for Men's Business Shirts $49.95 link didnt work for me.. so on my hunt I was able to unlock this google search / google keyword discount. (at least that what it appears to be) (Duplicate offer removed from title — Mod)

I tried to take out some of the tagging from the link, and it seems to work.

https://www.charlestyrwhitt.com/au/home?marketing=true&utm_c…

If it doesnt work for you try searching "charles tyrwhitt deals AUSTRALIA" or "Charles Tyrwhitt 49" with add block off, and the top sponsored link should be the link to this deal.
(thanks cheaptech20)

If it works, you should get a landing page that says "Exclusive Welcome Offer". If it doesnt work try a different browser

In absence of the the 3for99 that folks have eluded to this deal this seems to be the next best one.

Free shipping over $199 works out to 4 shirts.

Other codes found on my journey
PROPER - 4 shirts or 4 polos for $199, 10% off everything else
DAVID - $49.95 shirts/polos
CTSAV04 - 20% off $250 spend
15OFFAU - seems stackable with some of the regular deals, but not the link above..
Shopback(currently 3.6%new/1.8%) + HELLOAUS10 (10%off)
CashReward (currently 4.2% new/2.1%) + 15OFFAU7 (15%off) -> not sure if its the correct code, but thats what they have on the site.
Student beans - you can also request a 10% off coupon

Hope this helps! If anyone sees anything better, do let me know!

Note, these are awesome shirts.. I still have ones that I have had for over 7+ years!

NOTE: looks like ozbargain updates the link, so I have posted it above in the comments

  • Anyone familiar with the quality of these?

    • +3

      For $50 it is fine

      • +1

        Is phone fine?

    • +6

same as TM Lewin's and better than Van Heusen's

      • How is the fit compared to TM?

        • +3

I've found them to be looser for the same collar size as TM.

        • +1

also depends on what fit you're buying. I believe both CT and TM have three. generally standard, slim, extra slim.

          • @ltwo: My TM Lewin were "Fitted" which is slightly tighter than "Slim" so I asusme CT would be Extra Slim Fit if people feel they are slightly looser than TM.

      • +2

To be fair, it's not hard to be better than Van Heusen.

    • +7

ordered the shirts last time. the quality is wonderful

    • Not sure what is better, even at full price. Anything I have seen that is apparently better, is double the price…

    • +11

Yes, 14+ year custom here, with perhaps 30-35 purchased. These are the only shirts I buy now, as they seem to last forever. My favourites are the non-iron type, which can be washed in cold water and thrown in the dryer without a need to iron.

      • +1

Same here. No fuss, low maintenance business shirts. Always looks smart and crisp.

      • They definitely do wear out, I have them get thin and rip a few places. But every shirt does that with time and wears and they last a solid 5-10 years with a fortnightly rotation.

        • Damn man. You've a pro!

    • Last a good couple years. The only shirts i buy these days!

    • +3

i love these. once you find your perfect size, these are all you need. every shirt has the same size customisations. great quality, and looks great.

    • +6

I'm still wearing shirts from 5-6 years ago. Cold machine washed & never need ironing.

      • 5-6 years is a long time for the non-iron properties to last!

      • Yep, same here!

      • Do you need to hang them up straight away? Ever put them in a tumble drier? Would love to never iron again.

        • +1

Out of the dryer they need to be hung up / folded whilst still warm. The fabric "sets" once it cools, if that makes sense. If you forget you can just tumble dry them again for 5-10 mins and they are good as gold. And yes, I have cold washed & tumble dryed mine for years.

    • +2

I have about 12 of these shirts, all bought from the 3 for $99 deals of past. They're great, but I did have to experiment with certain measurements/sizing initially to get the right fit.

    • I bought a few 9 years ago and only have discarded 2 shirts this year because the collar have frayed and torn.

      These are very good quality

      • I also have the same issue with the collars fraying (most likely due to sweat from back of neck), but I wear them regularly for work and have no other issues.

Upon checking my wardrobe, it seems the regular shirts are fraying, but the non-iron ones aren’t.

        • I am lazy and buy all non-iron.
Mine were both chequered casual shirts and was wearing them each week for since 2014 up to lockdown.

    • Thanks everyone!

    • A big improvement on KMart et al quality. Strong buttons, no loose threads. Interesting weaves sometimes. Sizing is accurate. My only suggestion to CT would be to have some shirts with different fabrics or mixes than just 100% cotton. That said, I feel they should still cost no more than $50 per shirt.

    • +1

It's already been said, but very good quality. The only thing I noticed, the quality 5 years ago was absolutely through the roof, but the cost was also a touch higher back then. The quality of the cotton and cuts for those shirts are still better than some $200 shirts I've picked up recently from a few other brands. However, maybe 2 or 3 years ago, the company went briefly through a restructure and had to cut costs. The quality has slipped down a bit - went from being by #1 recommended brand for anyone, to now being in the mid-tier.

No problems with my recent purchases and would still recommend them.

      • Who else would you recommend?

    • Quite happy with the quality, look alright and last a few years

    • Better than TML and VH
The fabric conditioner they use to reduce ironing is hit and miss and I end up having to iron their shirts every week but no dramas on these 3 years into using then daily.
Better with the 3x for $99 though.

    • These are the only shirts I wear. They're great. And customer service is great. One of the sleeves tore after a few months and they replaced it, no questions asked.

  • When does this deal end? Any idea?

    • With these google search targeted deals I dont think we have any way to really know.

I found some companies will pay to keep them live for a bit, then it may go down for a couple months, and they appear later.. It all depends on their marketing budget…

  • -1

There's only a couple of business shirts for $49, the rest are regular price.

    • +1

You have to click on the link above.. the landing page should say "exclusive welcome offer" when you do.

I think everything in this list shows up as $49.95. about 2 pages worth..
      https://www.charlestyrwhitt.com/au/mens-shirts/business-shir…

If you dont see that exclusive welcome offer, try doing a google search as i suggested in the original post. "Charles Tyrwhitt deals australia" It should come up..

Or you can try a different browser, or incognito.. Once I made my purchase the link deal stop showing up for me in chrome, but it still works in Edge.

      Good luck!

      • Too easy, I just filtered by & sorted. My bad. Does it stack with the CR 15% coupon?

        • +1

Nope, they physically remove the option to even apply a coupon code once u get this saving..

  • +1

Yes 7 year customer here, they're good.

If you ever find yourself in London (or anywhere else they have a physical storefront, such as NY, DC, Chicago, Paris, Houston, Edinburgh), jump in and try on lots of different shirts and sizes.

  • +1

Good shirt yes but i dunno know if i really need them now given wfh most days

    • +1

Same, don't need to buy them as often as I used to.

  • +17

    Bring back 3 for $99!

    • +1

If they ever do that again I'm making multiple accounts and buying about 20 of them (or 21 :))

    • agree - those were the days.

Quality of the shirts and fitment were perfect for me. Shame, now its $150 vs. $99 for 3 shirts - 50% increase….

  • +11

Too pricey! Bring back 3 for $99 + cashback + free delivery.

  • Wish there was a place just to try on. Im basically rolling the dice with measurements, and i cant really load up..

    • +1

they do free returns (or used to). so buy a bunch of sizes and return the ones that don't fit.

      • +2

They still do free returns, and up to insane 6 months, no need to be unworn which is just fantastic, I used the return services to find my perfect size.

        • They deduct $10 afaik for returns. Still worth it though.

        • like pastapins said, they deduct from your refund if you’re returning but exchanges are free. Just keep in mind that the entire exchange process (shipping the shirts to be exchanged -> receiving exchanged shirts) is long as expected, took about 3-4 weeks for me last time.

  • +2

Search "Charles Tyrwhitt 49" with add block off

    • Thanks posted that tip up in the original post as well..

  • +1

Use coupon code DAVID for the discount $49.95 shirts/polos if the google links etc don’t work.

In theory should work for almost all shirts and polos.

    • +1

just no free shipping with that option.. but thanks I will add it uptop for future reference..

  • +2

Basically, it's the 3 for $99 deal except you have to buy a fourth shirt for $100 🤷‍♂️

  • +25% off Sitewide

OP, do you mind clarifying how the attached link provides 25% off site-wide?

    • 25% off other full price items i believe.

    • yup.. I think the mods updated the title just to say sitewide

The actually link on google states Quality Mens Shirts $49.95, 25% off everything else.. I am sure there will be exceptions.

When I checked other items it seemed to follow this, but I didnt do an exhaustive check..

  • Anyone know how these compare to the Uniqlo Super Non Iron dress shirts? I liked how they didn't really need ironing, as well as the fit and feel.

    • +1

Haven't tried the Uniqlo but these start off really good in terms of non-iron where you can basically take them out of the drier or off the line and no ironing required, but they slowly get worse an worse and you will eventually have to iron. They are always better than a regular 'iron' shirt though. Seems to vary shirt to shirt too, I guess depends on the material used, I probably should check the material on the best ones and only buy that type in future.

      • Thanks for the reply, do let us know if you ever find out the material.

      • I’ve got shirts worn once a week for 5 years and the non-iron quality is just as good as new. Have never had to iron the non-iron fabric after they come out of the dryer - pull them out of the dryer immediately after they finish.

        • I do this but for some reason get varying results. I only ever buy ones listed as non-iron.

  • +1

These are excellent. Just need to find the right size as someone suggested above. I ordered standard and slim fit for 2-3 sizes to be sure with multiple sleeve lengths. They charge $10 for returns, which is worth it as I just ordered what I wanted next with the right sizing.

  • So I'm not slim. Standard man-bod. Do I go for the slim-fit as they call it regular….or classic fit?

    • They're pretty loose fitting. I'm not skinny but the extra slim fits me perfect.

Average body I'd suggest slim fit if you don't want extra fabric floating around.

      • I was leaning that way. Thanks.

        • Yep, definitely try slim fit first up. Their returns policy is pretty good if it doesn't fit. Well worth the $10 for peace of mind.

          • @Jacked: Ok. I think thats the way to go. What about medium or large…. are they also generous in that sizing?

    • I am definitely not even close to slim , but I chose the slim size based on the fit.

So agree with the others you will need to try a few sizes to see what fits best. And whats comfortable when seated, etc..

      • Thanks for the tip. I'll try thr slim/regular to start with.

  • Oh no. Just learnt Charles Tyrwhitt don't do super slim fit any more. Anyone know any other brands with equivalent shirts?

For those trying CT for the first time, I found their size around the waste very generios. I usually like the slim fit size but CT's is massive for me. Extra slim fit wasn't a lot better.

Oh well, back to the drawing board.

    • +1

I recently purchased super slim fit (about 6 weeks ago). Maybe try some different shirts/sizes/sleeve length type etc

Some combinations just don't have extra slim fit is what I found

    • Just buy some KFC mate.

  • +1

Thanks OP, got 6 shirts for 300. Bargain. These shirts never wear out, well worth the price.

  • +1

Thanks OP got 4. I’ve always been a. An Heusen shirt person, and these are about 5-10 cm bigger but hoping better quality.

    • You will never go back

  • I used to swear by CT and had an entire wardrobe full of them. Last time I ordered three shirts about a year ago, I found that the quality of the materials was much poorer and I didn't wear the new shirts at all due to finding them uncomfortable. Maybe it was just the styles I chose.

  • no more free delivery? I am over $199

    • +2

Just confirmed it still works.. Make sure you try the 2 links in the OP. My link in the comments, and the ozbargain link. When u click on it it should say Exclusive welcome offer.

If this doesnt work try google search that I recommend in the original post. U need to turn your add blocker off.

  • Got 3 for 135 - limited style shirt and polos + 19 postage via a facebook add of theirs.

  • We will deduct $9.95 from your return credit to cover return delivery costs, however exchanges are always free of charge.

  • Even though the cart had the items at the discounted sale price, I was charged the full amount. Paypal hasn't processed yet, but I can't contact Charles Tyrwhitt as their customer service operates on UK time. Very annoying.

  • Can confirm this offer is still valid via Google Search for: Charles Tyrwhitt 49
    Thank you!
