PSA for Menulog: Cashback only eligible for Delivery orders

    • +2

Perfect to stack with $0.99 delivery Mon-Wed

      • +1

Shopback's T&C for Menulog said to only use promo codes from Shopback.

Hope GYB can confirm if we can combine these deals.

        • +3

$0.99 delivery doesn't require you to put any promo code

    • Can we schedule the deliveries and get Cashback?

  • Not going include Cotton On at 3PM to 7PM 25% + 15% …

Wait. Why is it 5% more compared to today at 20% + 15%.

  • Awesome. Would an apple tv 4k be eligible? Not listed in the ineligible section for 6% but can't seem to find any terms for 15%.

  • @woozie3 Liquorland in the banner has a flash sale 25% off between 3-7pm. I assume this stacks with the 15% off for Westpac members

    • I'm not sure, but would think the same as you. That's how it seemed to work with the Uniqlo deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/769331), where it was mentioned "The bonus cashback tracks as a separate line along with the upsize cashback…"

    • @woozie3 Will check with @gotyourback Can't see T&Cs. Can you please clarify if this 25% off Liquorland stacks with 15% off Westpac promo and is $20 cap per transaction (not per member)? Thanks mate

      • +1

Yep yep, Westpac Bonus offers will always stack with the base Cashback, so never need to worry there. The caps are separate, so you can get $40 total Cashback per purchase here between the base and Bonus amounts, just remember to exit Liquorland and click through from ShopBack in between orders to ensure each one tracks :)

        • Hi. Just to confirm. Apple store is currently 6% cashback. Westpac offer for Apple is 15% cashback. So these 2 stack together, becoming something like 21% cashback totally?

          • +1

@123nkj: Pretty much, though the 15% rate is capped at $100, so only 21% up to about $670~ purchase amount, more than than and the cap will mean it's less than 21%.

            • +1

@gotyourback: the 15% westpac also valid with Education Store, right? (though the normal cashback for edu store is only 1.2%)

              • +1

@hanofee: Hey mate, I just checked in with the team on this one to be sure, it looks like these products may track as "Apple for Education" instead of coming from "Apple", and as this bonus is only set up to work for Apple, the Westpac Bonus won't be awarded if it does track as coming from the Education store. I would have thought it'd be fine, but glad I double checked because wouldn't want to leave you dry.

            • @gotyourback: I've just noticed that the link on the Shopback page leads to this URL: https://www.apple.com/au-hed/store (plus some parameters at the end)

And the page headline talks about education pricing.

So it looks to me like it's the Education Store - which means purchases will track at 1.2% instead of 6%? Regardless of what you end up buying?

Might be a gotcha, unless I'm over-thinking it.

              • +1

@shake: Good catch mate, I'm not sure if that affects anything so I've taken it to our tech team to take a look to make sure if it does cause any issues that we can make sure they're rectified.

                • @gotyourback: Thanks for following this up!

I also noticed that when I click on the link in my order confirmation email to check on the status - the web page has title "Apple Education".

I didn't want to take any chances, so I actually cancelled my order, then placed a new one.

This time I used the last link on the Shopback page for Apple Store - this one led me to the usual https://www.apple.com/au/ URL, with the standard landing page (with iPhone banner rather than Educational Pricing). And went through to complete my order.

After all this time and effort - fingers crossed I get the full cashback amount!

                  • +1

@shake: You're a champion mate, but I would've sorted you out had it been an error on our part! Thanks heaps for keeping me in the loop, let me know if you have any trouble with it.

                    • @gotyourback: Glad to know, thanks.

I am beginning to get a little bit worried… as it’s been almost 48 hours and it hasn’t tracked yet… if it hasn’t tracked by this afternoon then I think something’s gone wrong.

                      • +1

@shake: Hmm, well we haven't noticed any wider tracking issues with this one, if something has gone wrong with your tracking specifically we will have to wait up to their 7 day window to lodge a claim for the missing Cashback as that is the window they provide that racking could come in under. I have known some tracking to come in a few days later, though rarer than within a day or 2, so we will need to wat it out to see if Apple haven't attributed your purchase to ShopBack for one reason or another at which point we will be happy to do what we can to help.

                        • @gotyourback: @gotyourback
I’ve had one pickup apple purchase made at 9pm track with the correct cashback amount. This purchase I made with a shopback link that didn’t take me to the apple education store.
However an earlier 5pm purchase (which was for item delivery), that hasn’t tracked and it was the first shopback link that took me straight to the education store without an option to really exit the education store or telling me that it was taking me to education store. Given that this was the default link given by shopback then I would hope that any issues arising from this are corrected.

                          • +1

@paul_5666: Hey mate, yeah no stress, if there are any issues with the tracked amount we will amend the Cashback supplied, so keep me in the loop there if you do find you have trouble when it tracks.

                            • +1

@gotyourback: I can report that both my transactions tracked correctly at 21%, education store and normal store. I got AirPods which don’t have education pricing.

                        • @gotyourback: Good news - my purchase showed up in my Shopback tracking late yesterday, I'm happy and relieved.

Thanks for replying to our questions/issues here!

                      • +1

@shake: I pickep up my item last night, and it tracked correctly at 21% (exc GST) this morning

  • Would anyone have any idea if the bonus cashback for Apple will still apply if you use a gift card to pay for part or all of the order?

    • +1

Yes. Just add all your gift cards to your apple account

      • Actually - should probably avoid paying for the entire order with gift card, since the bonus is tied to Westpac Lounge after all.

But going by this earlier comment from @gotyourback in early March, part payment with gift card should still earn bonus cashback on the entire order amount… fingers crossed it works. Though confirmation would be great!

Edit: Also now wondering whether account balance can be used for part payment as well… is this treated the same as gift card payment?

        • +4

Back to double confirm from the horses mouth, gift cards are fine and by extension have to assume account balances will also be fine to use (Apple don't state explicitly but it'd likely function the same on the back end so be treated the same). Just remember to partially use your eligible linked Westpac card to get that bonus amount as well here.

  • +4

All these bonus cashbacks are getting very confusing, I mean is there Shopback cashback anymore or is it just Westpac customers only?

    🤐🤐🤐

  • -1

Is it online only or will instore also work?

  • -1

Sorry how to get 15% Cashback? I saw only 6% for apple

    • only for westpac lounge.

  • Will the 10% bonus cashback on Expedia also apply on Flight bookings?

  • +1

Is partial payment with westpac + apple credit/gift cards OK?

    • +1

Same query? GYB can you pls confirm?

  • Is chemist warehouse gift card eligible?

    • No.

  • Damn it. I really should get a westpac card. Would’ve loved to use it on Expedia for my hotels coming up and also buy new AirPods if using the recent gift card deal allows for it haha.

  • Cheers , made a chemist warehouse order

  • +2

Wondering if Apple refurbished product (iPhone 12 pro max) is eligible for the 15%?

It’s 0% in the category, but in the NOTES it actually says refurbished product are eligible

    Very confused.

  • Please don't do the menulog unlimited one . I'm going to blow up like a balloon again :(

    • I ordered 9 orders with the previous Menulog cashback offer lol, it blew up both my tummy and my fridge

This time Menulog is one transaction per member, you're not gonna blow up!

      • This works before I knew people can setup multiple menulog accounts using same address lol

        • The last offer was capped per transaction you could order as many as you like without multiple accounts :)

  • @gotyourback the 15% bonus for apple, does it qualify if used on 0% category/item?

    • i guess no

    • Unfortunately not, for Bonus Cashback to be applicable, the original Cashback has to be higher than $0.

  • Thinking about buying the apple watch from Apple. Does the $100 cap only apply to the 15% bonus, or the overall cashback including the 6%?

    • Only for westpac one. So, the Series 8 ($629 - GST) should get ~$118 (0.9 * 629 * 0.21) cashback. Tempted to get one, as Woolies currently have Apple gc deal too for partial payment

      • thanks for your help, are you sure we can still earn the Westpec bonus if we make partial payment with Apple gift card? no where mentioned about gift card policy on shopback page.

        • not 100% sure, but someone above quoted GYB's comment from previous promo that says, it's allowed. need @gotyourback to confirm to be sure?

          • @hanofee: Cashrewards mentioned that gift card is eligible on the cashback if paid with gift card. Not sure about shopback.

  • how long does the menulog promo run for?

    • +1

Just today mate, so until 11:59pm AEST.

      • sorry, one more question boss: i'm using paypal and want to pick-up with a $10 coupon (TAKEAWAY10). App says up to 20% CB, what cashback rates will I be getting?

        • +2

Nothing, Menulog cashback is on delivery only.

  • @gotyourback Have another query mate. I'm new to Westpac deals. With the Chemist Warehouse 20% $10 cap, is that per transaction or per member? (Liquorland was per transaction).
Also with Chemist Warehouse, can you part pay with gift card and Westpac card to qualify or does it have to be all Westpac card? Thanks.

    • No worries, so any of our caps (including Westpac Bonus ones) will be per transaction unless explicitly stated otherwise in our app/website.

Unfortunately Chemist Warehouse don't accept gift card payments alongside Cashback, so the full payment needs to be made via a eligible linked Westpac card to receive the bonus.

      • Thanks

  • Is the Chemist Warehouse bonus cap per transaction or per membership?

    • Per transaction for that one.

  • +1

Got some airpods pro 2 ($399). Used $390 on gift cards bought for 10% off and $9 to my Westpac card.
    My calculations:
Saving on using gift card: $39
    Cashback amount: 362.72 (ex-GST amount) x 0.21 (base 6% cashback plus bonus lounge 15%) = 76.17

    Total cost: 399 - 39 - 76.17 = $283.83 = great deal

    • Great price.

Curious - has your purchased tracked yet with the cashback amounts?

I'm wondering whether people are clicking through on the Shopback page and landing on the Education Store - and if that reduces the cashback amounts.

      • +2

It hasn't tracked. Airpods don't have education pricing though, but I'm not sure what will happen with the cashback.

    • I pretty much did the same, and mine hasnt tracked either, may I ask when did you make the purchase? usually with other stores the latest has been within 24 hours. I did mine around 17:30 yesterday. Fingers crossed.

  • @gotyourback If my first order is cancelled, can I do other order and eligible for bonus Cashback?

Edit : This is for Menulog as bonus is once per account

    • So long as there's a valid purchase during the time frame, you shouldn't have trouble.

  • just wondering how quickly does Apple track usually?

    • Mine hasn't tracked but the shopback website says "Cashback will appear on User's ShopBack account between 2 - 7 days after the product has been Paid for and Shipped."

  • My Menulog hasn't tracked yet. Anyone else on the same boat?

I also bought something from Chemist Warehouse afterwards and it tracked overnight.

    • Yep Menulog didnt track here either @gotyourback

      • Any update on your case?

I just raised a missing cashback claim today and sent a DM to @gotyourback too

        • @czd hey mates, sorry to hear you've not received tracking, your best bet there is a Missing Cashback claim and our customer service team will be able to investigate this for you, but feel free to shoot me a DM and I'll do my best to check in on it for you.
