Good prices on these two popular 2.5" SATA SSDs from MSY. As usual it's better to pick these up instore to save on shipping costs and probably worth a visit if you're near the new Mulgrave and Villawood super stores.

The Crucial MX500 1TB SSD is the better of the two as it has DRAM cache for faster sustained writes making it a good choice as an OS drive and larger file transfers. Alternatively you can get it for $89 delivered from Amazon. Edit 21/4: Now $89, from $88.

The Crucial BX500 1TB SSD is DRAMless so it's not as good for sustained writes, however it's still a good choice for game storage or use with an enclosure. Alternatively you can get it for $74 delivered from Amazon

It's worth mentioning MSY have a heap of other really cheap deals here like $2 mice, $4 fans, $7 gaming keyboards and so forth. There's not much love for WA sadly.

  looking to expand the storage on my HTPC - so dram cache isn't really a necessity. Do I pull the trigger on the 2TB BX? Or wait another month?
