A really low price on this 2TB M.2 2230 sized SSD for those who are looking to upgrade storage in handhelds like the Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally (Original, not X) , Lenovo Legion Go and similar. Alternatively this goes well as a smaller sized portable SSD in an M.2 2230 SSD enclosure. If you have AliExpress Coins you can get it even lower and it'll stack with upsized cashback from TopCashback and Cashrewards.

This works with other devices that only accept 2230 sized SSDs including Surface Pro 9, X, Surface Laptop 3, 4, Laptop Go and more. Since this is a Gen4 SSD you shouldn't use it with the Surface Pro 8 and Surface Pro 7+ due to stability issues. Both of these have no issues with Gen3 SSDs.

This one offers a sequential read up to 5150 MB/s, sequential write up to 4850 MB/s and uses Toshiba BiCS5 112l or SanDisk TLC flash. Unfortunately 2230 sized SSDs don't have DRAM cache, but this one uses pSLC cache and HMB to make up for it so it's perfectly fine for gaming. Especially when a lot of other similar SSDs are QLC.

  • Apply the coupon AUCD10 at checkout

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate and GST inclusive.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

  • lol i fukt up. bought this for my Ally before realising Ally takes fullsize M.2s…

    • The original ROG Ally? I thought it uses the smaller one? It only takes the fullsize with an adapter? I could be wrong though.

    • The original ROG uses 2230 unless you get an adapter. The new ROG Ally X takes standard 2280 sized SSDs.

      • yes i have Ally X

        • Probably cancel your order as it's not going to fit a 2230 SSD without an extension adapter.

    Got one, hopefully TopCashBack tracks
    Edit: It did, $22.63 pending

Thanks for the comment I might have skipped the deal otherwise. Mine's pending too, $22.61!

Thanks you helped me take the plunge too. Also call out to use top cashback coupon (TCBAU16) as opposed to regular one, as I assume it is probably necessary

      • Not 100% necessary but certainly safer

        • Ah thanks for the clarification I wasn't really sure

  • This should go nicely with the MSI claw if anyone got it from the deals earlier in the year.

  • At checkout tax is added taking the total price to $190. Is there something Iā€™m missing?

    • Did the coupon work?

  • This goes well in my Lenovo Legion Go.. I had to print an adapter but otherwise is fantastic :)

Item not deliverable to the selected address. Perth Metro. Looks like the deal is no more.

  • Sold out, but upvote for the detailed writeup šŸ‘
