If you intend buying something from Amazon, please ensure you check your item's category by using my tips to help determine whether or not it's eligible for cashback.

Read the terms below carefully - it will save a lot of questions. Ensure you activate the bonus prior to shopping. Once activated, shop as normal via the 'Shop Now' (Store) or 'Activate Now' (Notifier) buttons on Cashrewards. Note specific store exclusions such as Amazon 0% categories, AliExpress non-affliliate products etc, and read all terms for the store your wish to purchase from.

$5 Bonus Promo Terms:

  1. To be eligible for the AUD $5 bonus, you must first activate the promotion via the main link in this post, then shop as normal via any active online store* on Cashrewards, excluding any purchase from the Cashrewards Gift Card Page.
  2. After activation, transaction must be made between 8:00am and 11:59pm AEST 18/04/23.
  3. Bonus is eligible on qualifying purchases of AUD $50 or more in a single transaction (inclusive of GST, after any discounts, and before shipping). Sales may report to Cashrewards ex-GST so the amount shown in your account may be less than $50 - you will still be eligible for the bonus.
  4. Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as ‘pending’ upon activation of this offer. Under some conditions, there may be a delay of up to 60 minutes for the bonus to show in your account.   9. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  10. Bonus is ineligible if you purchase from a 0% cashback store/cashback rate, if you purchase an ineligible item, or if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected. *Check individual store cashback terms and exclusions prior to purchase (see Amazon & AliExpress terms especially).
  11. Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

Do not activate the bonus unless you intend using it - it will decline after 14 days unless a qualifying purchase is made. For tracking success, disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost.     The last 2 transactions I've had haven't been tracked. Tried to report the last one and keep getting error message even with a different browser. Had to report as General Enquiry otherwise I couldn't get it to work. Waiting for a response….. My problems appear to coincide with new website - been a member for years with very few problems until recently. So until resolved, I'm avoiding using CR. No use having great offers if they're accompanied by tracking and website problems.

      I've had issues as well:
      * Submit claim button doesn't work sometimes
      * purchases not tracking at all
      * wouldn't let me withdraw full amount

    • Exact same issues for me. My two most recent transactions didn’t track and trying to submit a claim failed due to “connections issues”.
      Something is up as haven’t had issues for years with CR.

          You must be having a few problems. An enquiry last month was responded with with someone will be in touch within 3 business days but in recent e-mails it's now 5 business days. I'm using Chrome for my purchases (like I always have) and the problem with trying to lodge missing claims has occurred with both Chrome and Microsoft Edge. I can do a General Enquiry to report the issue (which I've done) but repeatedly get error message when trying to lodge missing claim. It's made more frustrating by it happening after you've filled in the details and uploaded order/invoice support. In the meantime, I just ignore any CR offers and use ShopBack or Cheddar irrespective of how good CR's offer is. I'd rather be certain of getting 5% cashback with minimal effort than maybe getting 10% and possibly having to jump through hoops to do so.

        • Thanks @tightarse. I made a purchase tonight at Under Armour that tracked almost instantly.
          I have bookmarked the thread you mentioned and will share relevant details should I have further issues.
          Note the two previous issues I had that failed to track (one via The Iconic the other via Puma), I have managed to submit claims for these last night successfully through the standard process. These had previously failed multiple times during the day.

    • Both missing transactions have now been fixed (and approved) with assistance/intervention from TA. Although it would be better if it wasn't a problem in the first place, having support provided by TA is a BIG plus for using CR when compared to service/assistance from the competition. Thanks TA

            @Rail Rider95: archieduh is a username tag in response to that member lol - not a duh comment. Are you referring to declined activation bonuses? If so, please only activate bonuses you intend using. They will decline if a qualifying purchase is not made.

    @tightarse Hey mate, there seems to be a discrepancy in cashback categories for Amazon. The image you've linked has Home Improvement & Home at 3.5% and Tools at 0% but on the Cashrewards website, it has Tools at 3.5% and Home Improvement & Home at 3.5%. Which one is correct?

  • Sorry if it's been covered before but for Aliexpress it says to have an empty cart before clicking through. If we add the items to the cart from our wishlist is that fine or do we need to search for them and add them that way?

    • In my experience adding to the cart just before clicking through or from the wishlist is fine.

      Alternatively if you want to search for an item the easy way is getting the item code and searching for that.

I bought one of these last week and need to get a few more, as well as a reference book I need, but am concerned that if the notebooks remain OOS for a few weeks or longer, that the order won't qualify for the bonus cashback - and imagine that would certainly be the case if they didn't come back into stock at all and that part of the order is cancelled!     • Not really sure. Sometimes they do advise to not use apps. It's safe just to use a browser. But, how come you are being redirected to the Amazon app? I tried to go to Amazon via Cashrewards app now, and it is just opening up Amazon within the Cashrewards app. (I am using an iPhone)

    I had to report a missed tracking last time, then they claimed I had returned the sunglasses….so I am still waiting for the last RayBan CR. Anyone else had issues with RayBan?

      • My purchase with kitchenaid still no CR tracking as well. I think kitchenaid is problematic because my last purchase from kitchenaid did not track for me. I have to liaise with CR team to resolve the cash back.

  • @tightarse I spent $53.62 AUD before taxes and shipping on AliExpress. It tracked this morning as $34.19 USD spent and $2.21 AUD in cashback. I converted that back to AUD (2.21 ÷ 0.045), it would appear I spent $49.11. Did I just miss out here?
