  • Apple doesn't price match Amazon right, only physical stores right?

    • +4

Unless something has changed very recently, Apple should still price match Amazon.

      • yea I was considering price matching that airpod pro 2 deal from amazon

prob wont buy since price will change soon

        • +1

They will but only up to 10% off their retail

    • Believe they do.

    • +2

They do price match with products sold from official Amazon but only within 10% off. If you want to purchase with gift card, do not exchange it to account balance because an authorized retailer cannot checkout with account balance, but you can use GC directly. Online chat does not provide price match but you can make a call sale for price match and also they can check out with ur account balance via phone.

Equivalent to 10% off in everyday rewards dollars?

    • Yes

    • +4

Yes - but you can also transfer the 20x points to Qantas to derive a greater relative value for them - depending on how you intend to use the Qantas points

    • Not quite.
Here you pay $100 for $110 value = 9.1% off
      vs
      Pay $90 for $100= 10%

Thanks. I just got a call from the ATO saying I need to pay them in apple gift cards. I guess I might as well get some extra reward points as well.

15% OFF or no deal! Come on, EOFY is coming!

    • +6

Nothing will beat Cole's 15% off upfront discount. That was pure bliss.

      • Pure bliss for one. Whole. Week!

        • Which deal was this? Can you please link to the previous deal?

          • +8

@bert999: There were two deals earlier this year:

            1. Just in case you were not aware, giftcards.com.au is operated by Coles Group.

            • @WookieMonster: Based off your expertise, do you expect there to be similar/higher discounts in the future?
If so when should we expect them roughly?
              Thank you

              • +3

@TheManInDemand: My powers of prognostication is not that great for Apple gift card deals lol

I think that we can expect similar discount deals in the future, but i really have no clue when or where to expect the next one. My hunch is that they will be nowhere near as frequent as these regular 20x points deals.

            • @WookieMonster: Hard to beat a straight 15% discount. Has Woolworths/Coles every offered a better deal with their rewards schemes? e.g. Greater than 20x Rewards/Flybuys points? I saw once upon a time they did one for Apple but it seems that was the only time

              • +1

@rekke: Yes, 30x points deals at:

… and every single bonus points deal for Apple gift cards since then has been at 20x.

I'm a big fan of the Qantas points, personally! Just nabbed up 22,000 points for a recent MacBook purchase with one of these offers.

      • Nice one, what do you plan to use them for? Would it be better value than Everyday Rewards points?

  • Here we go again. The same tired old questions will be asked.

    • Can I buy a bunch of these gift cards and PM you all the PINs? Just in case you think I’m being serious — think different

  • Can you combine this with everyday extra to get extra benefit?

    • extra points? no.
      5% off .. i also wanna know.

  • Can you use gift card at Apple EDU store?

  • 30x or bust

  • these can be stacked with few gift cards when buying through apple online store? can i use them to buy refurbished products on apple online store?

    • +1

You can redeem up to 8 Apple gift cards in one online transaction. If you want to redeem more than 8 in one online transaction, you will need to add Apple gift cards to your Apple Account Associated Balance first, then you can use your Apple Account Associated Balance and up to 8 Apple gift cards in one online transaction.

You can use Apple gift cards (and/or the Apple Account Associated Balance) to pay for refurbished products.

      • thanks for the info! is it complicated to add giftcards to apple account associated balance?

        • If you have an Apple device, I think it is straightforward.

If you don't have an Apple device, it gets a little tricky, as you either need to install and use iTunes (on Windows) or Apple Music (on Android) to add gift cards to your Apple Account.

  • Has anyone seen this deal live today (19th April)? I went to my local Woolies this morning and I didn't see the promotion posted anywhere? Maybe they haven't put it up yet. Just want to see if anyone else has come across it. Thanks

    • Welcome to OzBargain!

Not all Woolworths / Woolworths Metro stores will always put up posters advertising gift card deals. It does not necessarily mean that the store has opted out of a gift card deal, because I do not know of any Woolworths or Woolworths Metro stores opting out of gift card deals (other than TAS Woolworths stores opting out of Everyday Rewards deals before August 2020, because Everyday Rewards did not exist in TAS before August 2020). There is nothing in the terms and conditions of this offer that indicates that any Woolworths / Woolworths Metro stores have opted out of this offer.

I just checked the NSW digital catalogue and can see the offer listed on the bottom of page 25. I suggest checking the digital catalogue for your region to see if that lists the offer. (It should, but it may be on a different page.)

You could also check the physical catalogues stocked at your local store (assuming they stock physical catalogues), as they should also advertise the offer.

    • Can confirm it works. Got the reward dollars immediately.

    Thank you, @WookieMonster 💐
I bought my gift cards this morning, called Apple sales to price-match a 9th generation 256GB wifi iPad ($739 on Amazon) which they did without any fuss, and it should be arriving on Friday!

Tried local Woolworths which had the sign for 20x up. But at checkout only came up as 10x points. Not sure if there’s a system lag. Better check before making a large purchase like I planned. Will try again tomorrow

  • Apologies if this has been answered before - but once redeemed to my Apple Account Balance, can I use that balance in a physical Apple store? I know this was a problem in 2022.

  • So i i initially bought 1 x $50 card = received 2000 points. Then yesterday I bought 10 x $50 cards = received only 10,000 am i missing something here??

  • I made a rookie mistake - I said ok when the checkout staff asked if they could split the multiple cards into multiple transactions. I realised only afterwards that only the first transaction would receive the 20x bonus points :(

    • +1

If you reach out to Everyday Rewards, they are usually lenient enough to credit the points from subsequent transactions, especially if you mention that store staff said you would still earn points.

      • +1

Let me give it a try!

        • +1

It worked! Got the points back using the online chat ;)
