[NSW] Click Outdoor Antenna Kit $7.50 @ Bunnings Rydalmere

81

Looks like they're clearing out Click brand antennas, in case anyone still wants to watch free to air in a new man cave or bedroom and too cheap to call the antenna guy.

Available stock (Easter Monday) as shown in photo.

  • Outdoor antenna kit $7.50 (was $39, allegedly**)
  • Indoor antenna $9.99 (was $39, allegedly**)

** A post here - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/755831 shows they were $30

Sorry I got a dumb question. What is this for? TV? Wifi? 5G?

Do not get these. I bought 2 indoor antennas and both were useless. The amplifier did not make it any better. An absolute waste of money.

    • If you have weak signal like me, I don't think it will work.

      • This was in the upper level of a 2 story with windows around it, and no other buildings or trees to block it. The amplifier should have boosted the signal; but we got virtually nothing.

        • Do you have roof antenna already? How is it? Do you need amplifier.

In my case my roof antenna needs extra amplifier to get it to work but still not very strong signal. In that case I don't think indoor antenna will work.

  • Is this store specific?

  • @theoofside is there an item number on the receipt so we can look up stock levels?

    • I think the outdoor is 0371493

It was on sale in Feb., too.

  • They have outdoor antennas going cheap - $10-20ish in many stores also….3 on central coast .
bought one $15 one as a temporary measure till i can be bothered to get on the roof to fix the main one and it works fine! - was worth it just for the long antenna cable to use to patch my existing (if needed)

  • This is a question regarding antennas in general. A tv in the bedroom we use a long cord to get to the main input in the lounge. Anything wireless these days? Or do we have to get the antenna input installed?

you can use a raspberry pi with TVheadend and suitable DVB dongles,
but, 'not really' is your answer….
there are some UHF / VHF repeaters / retransmitters available, but, questionable legality unless you hold a licence.
cheaper to just drop a cable in the wall

      • Okay. Thanks so much
