Been through a bunch of so called air/watertight and allegedly microwave/dishwasher safe containers over the years, these are the ones that seem to hold up long term. Only thing that has ever busted them is slipping and being ejected from the tippy top of the freezer onto the kitchen tiles at great speed.

Hmm.. I can't seem to get the 900ml ones down to $7.25 at the checkout
These are definitely NOT dishwasher nor microwave safe. The plastic part peels off after one use/wash. Lid are weak in low to mid heat. Learn the hard way after throwing bunch of those.
These are definitely microwave safe, although I have had better durability with Sistema.
Decor Thermoglass all day.
I don't think plastic containers exist that can withstand microwaving without slowly getting destroyed.
Its mostly lies in my opinion.
Question about these, does anyone know why they get this white shit patterned all over the container after going in the dish washer?
I assume because its plastic, same thing happened to all of mine.
I just wonder is it toxic, or maybe just detergent stuck in the grain of the plastic. I don't like the thought of putting food on it and eating it later, not knowing what it's all about. Another user above suggested heat resistant glass, maybe that is the future. My only deal with those is the plastic lid breaks, rendering the container somewhat useless after a few years when the glass could last for 30+. I guess glad wrap is an option, unless they sell lids individually?
IKEA sells glass containers and plastic lids separately https://www.ikea.com/au/en/cat/ikea-365-food-storage-49524/ (scroll down a bit). Looking to replace all of my plastic containers with glass ones eventually.
@notabananainmypocket: Ikea don't do business with where I live. I think they charge like $30 postage for 50g worth of material. They are dead to me.
@notabananainmypocket: I can vouch for the Ikea containers. They've never leaked for me.
@Theluckycooper: Good to know, thanks!
The white stuff is just the surface getting roughed from overheating (particularly with something really conductive - say hot oil or fatty marrow splattering out superheated at max microwave power), and calcium carbonate sticking to it in the dishwasher. It comes off after about 30 seconds work with a magic eraser.
Thanks OP
Got the 375ml ones for kids school lunch, seems to be the perfect size.
