  • Great price

  • +2

i have the smart version of this but i believe the actual cooking quality is exactly the same, for $204, it is an absolute bargain

  • Good deal! Thanks op!

  • Got one!

  • Thanks OP got one

Better off buying through Appliances Online - $20 off $200 first order

Edit: Order today, delivery in 7-8 weeks
    Yikes

We have ordered more stock of this item. Please note that the current ETA for delivery is the 25th May 2023. You will be able to select this delivery date on the checkout.

    • Can you lodge the cashback claim with Philips before the delivery?

      • +1

Yes. Based on the details, you just gotta make sure the invoice is dated between the promotional period

Purchase a selected product during the Promotional Period from 1 April 2023 to 14 May 2023 to claim your Cashback.
All claims must be submitted (online) by 5pm AEST on 21st June 2023.

      • I did. Seemed to work fine.

    • Thanks, ordered one from Appliances Online, May delivery for me is fine, just awaiting the receipt to claim the cashback.

      • Me too … no rush for me. I wonder when they send the tax receipt. Did you get yours yet?

        • +1

havent received the tax invoice as yet, but it will come through, Appliances Online are great to deal with. I did get an order confirmation straight away, which I think as per Phillip's T's and C's will suffice for the cashback, but will wait for the tax invoice. Enjoy your airfryer!

          • @ShootingStar3388: philips declined mine with just a confirmation, hope the tax invoice comes soon

            • @Postal Dude: Was that via an email Philips sent to you after lodging the claim online with the order confirmation? I received an email saying mine was approved? Or do they send you another email saying it's declined? AO wont provide the tax invoice until delivery happens, for me, mid-May.

              • @ShootingStar3388: If you get on chat and ask them to generate a pro forma tax invoice they can do it for you. If you don’t succeed at first log in and try again. I had one lady sent me and then connected to a guy who did it for me.

              • @ShootingStar3388: Yeah it was an email after lodging with order confirm, not sure why some are approved with just a the order confirmation and some not, but chat gave me a pro forma tax invoice so no big deal.

Which brings it to $174 after cashback

      • Can someone refer me please?

      • Amazing! Just ordered for $274! Thankyou! Hopefully they send the invoice prior to delivery 🚚

      • +1

And $30 off $300 with citibank cashback offers

    • Thanks. How do you get the $20 off ?

  • Just bought one of these on the 31st March from the Qantas Rewards Store, hasn't been delivered yet. Cashback starts on the 1st April, devo.

    • Call up Customer Support and cancel :)

      • Purchased 11:59pm as well lol

  • +1

Yeah, this is super cheap. I paid like $244!

    • same, I got it for $247 after cashback last August
      this is awesome price indeed

  • a wonderful appliance - I own two of this Philips model and they are brilliant !!

    • +1

but why did you buy the second one?

      • +1

for my holiday apartment on the Gold Coast lollllllllllll :)

  • Thanks, finally took the plunge

  • +1

is amazon definitely an accepted participating retailer for the cashback?

  • Thanks OP, bought one, how do we do the cashback? I legit bought this without even looking into it, took all of 2 minutes to take my money.

  • Is this one much better than the instant pot air fryer attachment thing? I’m trying to avoid buying a lot of different appliances

  • This or instant vortex?

    • +3

This is a proper Australian version so it has 2250watts, the vortex and many airfryers on Amazon are US conversions, and limited to 1700watts due to their crappy mains power. That would mean it will heat faster and be capable of hotter temperatures if need be

    • +1

i have never used instant vortex before but what i can tell you with almost absolute certainty is that this will be better, i have the model up from this which is still the same cooking specs and it is amazing, i was blown away when i first bought it and i still am to this day

  • How do we get cashback to $204. Can only see 7% Amazon cashback

  • looks like no more

  • Would you still be eligible for the cash back if you paid with gift cards? I assume so as the claim form on the phillips website only makes you submit the tax invoice.

    • I bought using GCs last time and had no issues in claiming the cashback

  • +2

Bought one during last cashback promo. Product quality is top notch, used almost every day for the last 3.5 months and extremely happy with it.

  • Can someone explain why you would choose something like this over the multi version ones like Ninja Foodi?

I've recently been gifted a Ninja Foodi and I'm really enjoying it. It does airfrying very well, but also can pressure cook, steam, etc. So feel like I'm getting a more useful appliance than just this one that can only air fry?

    • +2

Maybe because some people already have other appliances so don't want to buy another one. I have a Beville fast and slow pro which does pressure cooking, slow cooking, saute etc, so bought this airfryer a while back to complement that set up.

Plus having the airfryer and pressure cooker separate means I can use them at the same time.

  • Is it OOS?

  • looks like sold out

  • OOS

  • +2

I have a decent fan forced oven… is there an advantage to having one of these over just using my oven? Thinking quicker heat up time maybe. Can someone help me justify this bargin for someone in my position?

    • +1

As best I can tell, it’s just efficiency and speed. Like my wife sometimes has the oven going for 20 mins to heat up one hot cross bun - I suspect these would use a fraction of the electricity.

      • right, ok thanks. I have a new oven and it can heat from zero to 180deg in less than 5mins. Saved me some buyers remorse.

        • whatever you were cooking/reheating would be almost done in the 5 minutes, and its not just the timing, everything is so evenly cooked and crunchy, like in a deep fryer, you may not actually need it, but trust me, there would of been no buyers remorse my friend, just excitement and astonishment

    • +5

Since getting air fryer/oven. My main oven has taken a back seat. Takes too long to preheat my main oven.

      Get it. Do it.

    • We have a cheaper air fryer (not this model) and hardly use it. We have ovens that heat up in 5 minutes so not much time lost there and they actually take a normal amount of food. Always find the air fryer doesn't fit much and is annoying to clean.

      • +1

Ditch the cheap air fry is your answer.

  • Yep looks like OOS now

    • -1

      Just saved me $204.

Happy with my cheapo air fryer until it breaks down

  • Is there any truth to the claim "Easy to clean"?

    • -1

No. Impossible to clean the hot elements and the area behind it..

    • Still trying to figure out the best way to clean all the excess oil. Keen to know from the experts here how to do that

  • +2

Ordered one through Appliances Online at the same price with 2 weeks ETA.

    Thanks CC123 and OP!

  • When does the $100 cashback offer ends? Thinking of buying from Appliances online but delivery will be in May. Can the cashback be claimed before receiving the product?

    • Per T and C's, purchase has to be made between 14/23 - 14/5/23 and all claims must be submitted by 21/6/23. The cashback can be claimed before receiving the product, again per T and C's, you can submit the claim with fully paid store or online purchase receipt, tax invoice or order confirmation indicating store name, store location (“online” if applicable), receipt number, date of purchase, model/item purchased and payment details (“Proof of Purchase”) for the Eligible Philips Product.

      • Thanks for the response. Purchased from AO, with June delivery now (Must be due to lots of OZB'er buying).

  • Urgh I found my XL not big enough

    XXL seems better

    • XXXL OF edition might be what you need.

  • How does this compare to https://www.amazon.com.au/Ninja-Dual-Fryer-AF300-Granite/dp/…

    Im stuck between the two.

    • Por que no los dos.

      • Uno es suficiente

        • no el tamaño o el número, sino cómo lo usas

          • @xoom: eso lo habia escuchado antes…

            • @Mukhlou: te estoy troleando ¿Lo sabes bien?

    • Easy, one cooks a whole chicken, with the other you need to cut the chicken in half.

  • +5

Purchased from AO with delivery in June, got my invoice and submitted my claim and has been approved.

    • How long it took between putting the order and receiving the invoice as I haven't received my invoice after 1hr of purchse

      • I hit up chat because I forgot to apply my voucher. I then asked for the invoice and they sent it immediately.

      • I paid via PayPal. I just attached the Paypal receipt and got instant approval.

        • Instant approval? Oh my.
What happens if you return the air fryer?

          • @wasdw246: I got instant approval with AO invoice

I think they are using an AI for approval which means it will get abused by someone before they start manual approvals

  • +1

    Is the Philips PTFE free?

  • Maybe OP can update the post for AO? They still have stock.

    • Someone else just posted the same deal but from AO

  • For those with CommBank and buying from AO, check your Commbank Rewards section, there is a $30 Cashback for $300+ spend.

    • It is targeted, I don't have it with CommBank but do have it with Citibank

      • Ohh ok didnt realise that it was a targeted offer. Anyway, I see you have already had your Phillips cashback claim approved as per your previous comments. May I ask how did you get around the part where it asks for the receipt number? As the pro forma invoice which AO sends out does not contain any receipt number sadly.

        • The invoice provided by AO (chat) has an order number which I used as the receipt number. Hope this helps :)
