Any thoughts? My trial period will end soon?

  • Squeezed in before me by a few minutes. Thanks for the shout out!

Love OnePass. Kmart is great for cheap shit. Shipping isn’t Amazon speed, but since they ship from the nearest store that has stock, it’s faster than eBay most of the time.

Once I ordered a 75c birthday card with free OnePass shipping. Came in a box and bubble wrap. Not sure if the person packing it was having a joke.

    • I need some bean bag fill. About 100 litre bags X3.

Do they ship for free with one pass?

    • +26

Unfortunately many only think about the cost or time savings when getting items delivered to them. There are many other expenses - much less measurable - that happen, but we don't have to deal with.

Hopefully companies refine their fulfilment methods to not have that kind of waste.

    • +3

Find it fascinating how your birthday card can arrive with bubble wrap but I can order plates and it's only protection is a sheet of brown paper in the whole box.

    • lol they do the same thing when you order gift cards from Australia post sometimes

    • +1

I regret signing up for yearly onepass. I have not got any value out of it yet as I don't make enough orders over the year. I should of just chose the monthly option 2 or 3 times. Firstly, I also ordered a birthday card which came in a big box full of bubble wrap. I had to go to the post office and show ID to collect it. The post office is further away than Kmart for me, so I could of just gone to Kmart and bought it. The same thing happened with a roll of sticky tape. I have also had a number of items cancelled with Kmart despite being listed as 'in stock'. It is actually getting more and more to the point I am not bothered to order anything else with Kmart.

I made an order on Catch for something from Target. It said it leaves warehouse in 1-3 business days. After 3 weeks I received an email to say the package is delayed. Its close to a month now and still no word or time frame of when to expect it. I have not used Onepass for Bunnings orders due to the high $80 min order limit and the size restrictions.

Overall, I could see why some people may find value out of it, particularly Kmart. It is certainly a better option than paying the usual shipping cost. If Kmart had the stock they say they do and didn't overpackage items, I would of considered Onepass here and there as a monthly option when my current sub ends.

      • it's handy if you shop at kmart because kmarts online store is trash.

if you add multiple items on cart to qualify for their $60 minimum for free delivery. their online system will re-route the order to a different store and then half your cart becomes "out of stock"

example. if you order a $50 item and 10 x $1 items to qualify for the $60 min free shipping.

the $1 items that was in stock 5 minutes ago suddenly goes "out of stock" because kmart re-routed the order to a different store.

kmarts online system is absolute trash because of this so onepass is handy if you need to order alot of cheaper items that gets "out of stock" often that won't qualify for free shipping.

Firstly, I also ordered a birthday card which came in a big box full of bubble wrap. I had to go to the post office and show ID to collect it.

Well that’s on you. At checkout there’s the option to allow them to leave the delivery at the door. You could of rolled the dice on allowing them to leave a 75c order at the door…

        • I always tick the authority to leave box when ordering low value items online. I have ATL enabled with Auspost. However, sender doesn't always post with your requested method. I have had not just Kmart but other stores (most recently The Athletes Foot) ship the item requesting signature when I have chosen to have it left.

In addition, parcel delivery in my area is only up to a certain size. I expected Kmart would ship something like a bday card or sticky tape in a padded satchel. Instead, the sticky tape came in a box inside a box with lots of bubble wrap. The ridiculous outer box was the size of about 4 pizza boxes which I suspect was over the size limit for me to get it delivered.

      • I had to go to the post office

Wait… "post office"?? Why does Kmart's website say they don't deliver to PO boxes and lockers then? I refrained from using parcel collect for it, and we don't even get AusPost deliveries here!

        • +1

Probably because even if you order a packet of gum it will come in a box that won’t fit in a parcel locker.

          • @PainToad: No worries, I redirected it in the AusPost app, once I saw they had the Kmart delivery. Either way, I have to collect everything at the PO anyway. I just thought for a moment they were using a pvt courier.

  • +1

Why don't they offer double fly buys or something ?
Main benefit of shipping is easily achieved anyway by hitting free postage limits .

    • +4

$65 spend at Kmart for free shipping. I rarely would spend that much at Kmart, if ever. It's good when you just need a few things and Kmart are usually good price wise for odds and ends.

    • I think they have member prices on some products i.e. on Catch

  • +7

Normally $4/month so work out if it's worth it for you, in my case I don't shop at the included stores often enough.

  • +23

I’m on the fence about this being only an occassional shopper at Catch. Delivery under OnePass at the $4/month rate is cheaper so when I go to buy something I just turn on OnePass for the month and pay the $4.

Even for $30 a year I would have to shop more than 7 times to get the value out of it. Unless I ended up shopping online also at Kmart and/or Target, which are more convienient and easier to just go in store.

  • +3

Perfect, this will stack with targeted 5,000 flybuys points

    • You need minus Disney to make that deal useful lol .

      • +3

You don't need to subscribe to the OnePass Disney Bundle, the standard $4 will do.

        • Hmmmm good point . Re-examining ,

          • +1

@lostgoat: "You have been specifically selected for this offer and it is not transferable" so 5K FB is targeted

    • I have only hesitated doing this as I did the free trial earlier this year, but didn't actually sign up and pay anything….not sure if they count the free trial as the reason to not give me 5000 points if I sign up now.

Will this work with a Disney plus one pass monthly sub?

    • +1

I tested it now at checkout but it doesn't seem possible. There is only a monthly option for Disney bundle, no yearly.

      • Yeah I wouldn’t expect this to work with the Disney bundle, as in that bundle you’re effectively getting OnePass for $1/month.

    • Sorry I missed the quoted text in your question, I thought you were asking if this annual $10 off deal works with the Disney plus sub. I think you are asking if the Bunnings freebie works with the Disney Plus sub? In that case yes it should work. The deal just involves linking your Onepass to Bunnings, then you will get an email with a link to claim your welcome pack which they will mail it out. It doesn't matter what type of Onepass you are on, as long as you haven't previously claimed it on your account.

      • I think you are asking if the Bunnings freebie works with the Disney Plus sub? In that case yes it should work.

Yes I am. Can anyone confirm this?

        • +1

Yes this will work as long as you haven't claimed the Onepass bunnings freebie before on your onepass account. You can pick onepass or onepass with disney plus.

    • Also like to add that after signing up with onepass disney+ it also keeps your watchlist intact 😅

  • Didn't these guys get hacked multiple times and try to cover it up….

  • I just finished the trial and am on a monthly sub for $4. I also linked my Bunnings account and have a welcome pack on its way. Can I cancel this subscription and take on the annual?

  • +1

Do Bunnings ship bulky products for free via one pass ? i was looking for Garage Shelves but their boxes wont fit in my car

    • +3

Unfortunately not, it is only on "standard deliveries" (usual price $10 where I am). Bulky items are their usual price at $50+.
Plus, there is a minimum order of $80.

  • stack with flybuys 5000 points?

  • +2

Bunnings has a package size limit as well as a minimum spend. You can't get free delivery on two bags of potting mix because of the size, for example.

    • I was thinking the same thing. Can I get a large ride-on lawn mower or 2.4m Wooden planks delivered for free? I guess not….

  • Bunnings Powerpass holders - OnePass free delivery doesn't stack sadly.

Got to choose between 5% off or free delivery (or go to the store)

  • better than Amazon Prime?

    • This only has Kmart, Bunnings, Target and Catch. Can't really compare with Prime.

    • Different. Wouldn’t want to be without either.

  • I think, I’ll PASS on this one.

    • FIFY

I think, I’ll pass on this one.

  • I was sceptical, but ended up signing up to the free trial to get these deals from Catch. And now realised it's useful not only for deals on Catch, that otherwise, with shipping, turn out no deal at all, but also to get clearance items from Kmart not available at the stores near me. Now, does that mean I'm gonna pay for it? Course not 😅

  • Dodgey move by Kmart, had some bulky items in my Kmart checkout and as soon as I switched to Onepass, it suddenly became out of stock.

  • +1

If only Kmart accepted gift cards online

  • +1

    Thanks OP
My subscription would have finished on the 10th,
so I just rang them up & they terminated my account early,
so I can go from monthly to yearly.
What a stupid way to go from monthly to yearly & vice versa!

  • I have not done free trial yet, and want to sign up for a year. If I do the free trial for 30 days, can I still sign up for the year as well? Just don't know how to put in code if doing a free trial… I didn't want to go through sign up process if not possible. Just wondering if anyone else has though??

    • +2

Well, I'm really impatient.. just figured I'd go through the process myself anyway.

So for anyone else wondering.. you sign up, choose annual free trial, and you can enter the promo code. So… You get 30 free days, and when you are charged for the yearly subscription, if you put in the promo code, you get $10 off.

It all works fine.. go ahead, and go through!! Just change to annual/yearly..
