Taqua T-1 Water Filter Tap $290 Delivered @ Aquatemp Environmental Solutions

81

With the touch of a button, you can choose between tap water and filtered water, and the ON/OFF indicator lets you know which one is flowing. The Taqua T-1 also offers three flow options, including an "Eco-shower" mode that saves 20% of the water flow in spray mode, making it great for washing vegetables and rice.

I got T-3 for 2-3 years and very happy with it, I think it is made in Japan, including the filter.

  • Been on the market for a new tap and filter too, looks pretty good. How much did you get yours for? Seems the cheapest is around $425.

    • I paid my T-3 $475 + $15 shipping 2-3 years ago, so I think this is bargain. I think T-1 has the same features and quality, just different designs.

For the T-3 I paid $444 6 months ago. Taqua filter taps are really good. Tap and filters are made in Japan. I've always been a tap water person myself, but after buying one of these the difference is well worth the investment. Much more convenient than the under bench canister systems.

  • They claim to be removing bacteria from water with the use of this filter. How is this legal?

"But the Taqua T1 isn't just about looks. It's packed with features that ensure you and your family access clean, fresh, and healthy water. For example, the advanced filtration system removes impurities such as chlorine, heavy metals, and bacteria, ensuring you always have access to safe drinking water."

The page contradicts itself. And says the prevention of bacterial growth rather than removal

  • This is good value for what it is…seal it with a quality product and you'll have it for a long time.

  • Any mention of filter change? How does this compare with Puratap?

3 seconds unscrew the tap by hand, 3 seconds take out the old filter and bin it, 10 seconds unwrap the new filter/bin the wrap/insert the new filter, 3 seconds screw back the tap by hand. 8 years old can do it. Well, all roughly, but I am sure I can do it under 30 seconds, 20 seconds if I speed up.

I’m also leaning towards getting a Taqua tap (looking at the T-5) instead of puratap purely to save the underbench space.

  • Anyone know how much installation roughly costs?

    • Same as normal tap mixer with extensions hose I guess, as no extra work for the filter.

Thanks OP, price also came up as $290 delivered as compared to $299 + delv 👍

  • Not convinced about the ~$400+ that these seem to go for elsewhere, but for $290 this compares nicely to some under-sink filter systems (albeit dual filters) I've installed in the past. However this fits my use-case particularly nicely for a leased office to provide filtered water for staff without having to drill a new hole into the sink.

Installation looks like it's straight-forward just like other under-sink filters.
