They're $3 each if you factor in the 2 free ones, normally the 4 "deluxe" cupcakes are $18 so that's a rather staggering $4.50 each.
well to be fair I think they're that expensive because they dont sell well? supply/demand
the real problem I see is that it looks like they dont bake onsite?
I think it would more be the rental prices to have a store in the cinema space would be huuuuuuge. And not selling many would be because of the price because of the rental prices.
For comparison, Crispy Kreme donuts sell for $2.50 to $3.50 ea (basic donuts and donuts with fillings)
So a cupcake for $3 bucks isn't all that unusual.yeah, I know of a cupcake shop where the rent is cheap and the prices are still the same.
This is normal prices for "artisan cupcakes" although my comment of not being made onsite is a jab at the fact that they're probably not artisan cupcakes.
Compared to $15 for a popcorn and coke they won't look bad at all.
