Good idea, go anywhere other than these guys for a better life experience.

  • +6

same guys that keep raising and lowering the prices of products based on if there is an ebay sale going on

    • +2

So much this, they could not suck harder if they tried…

  • +8

This is a pretty good april fools joke

  • +2

Who remembers the 1660 being 650 during the mining days? I do.

    • Yeah miners are stupid teenagers. Could've made tonnes more in property during the same timeframe. I'd argue they spent more time/energy too

  • +2

April fools isn't for 2 more days

  • +3

    Thanks for april fool preheat

Not even the 2060 12GB get out of here.

    Haha.
Why aren’t we just banning this store and rep now?

    • +1

Where do I sign for this to happen?

I got the MSI Gaming 1660 Super for $309 from BPC 3 years ago. Never forget https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/586448

What a horrendous price for it now. The NVIDIA difference. Old junk appreciates in value?

  • +1

    What year is it?

  • +3

    These are not good prices.

  • +2

    What a joke

  • lol @ getting a 2060 super when you can get a 3060 for less.

These guys are an utter joke.

I put in an order with these guys for a Gigabyte 4070 Ti as it was listed on ebay @ $1350. I had an ebay voucher that took a further $120 off the price bringing it to down to $1230, which I thought was pretty good.

Bizarrely, as soon as I used that voucher, ebay showed I actually had a better one available that would take 10% off the price instead, which would bring it down even further to $1215 (it's only $15 but hey, would rather it in my pocket!).

I contacted the seller through ebay and asked if I could cancel my order and put it through again as I had access to a better voucher than the one I had just used (had ordered 15 minutes from contacting them). They had another 3 in stock at that time. The seller said 'Sure thing we will cancel your order now and submit a refund and you can order again with the voucher you wish'. Well, I thought that was great. The refund notice took about 10-15 minutes to come through from ebay and I jumpped straight on to make the new sale.

The price had been increased to $1444.95.

This now meant it would now cost me $1300.45 AFTER the voucher was applied - so essentially $85 more than it would have been before they jacked the price or $70 more than what I was going to pay on the first sale.

I asked nicely if the previous price (listed 20 minutes ago at the time) could be honoured so I could get the product I was after. The guy basically said no he has no control over item prices, even though my transaction had apparently triggered their rush to jack the price to capitilise on people using the same voucher. He offered zero help and ended the convo saying, keep an eye for a promos, maybe it will change again :-)

Worst behaviour I have ever experienced from an ebay vendor. I will advise everyone on every forum I frequent to stay away from them until the end of time now. It's not much, but it's all I can do. Hopefully it costs them sales down the track.

Should've just paid the extra $15 back then and prayed to the ozbargain gods for forgiveness.

      • +1

I have never had a vendor increase the price on me, just to rob me of any savings I could have made. I did not think anyone would do that… I was wrong.
What I should have done is just placed another order ON TOP of my current order to lock the price down with the new voucher, before cancelling my first order. But I was worried they would not let me cancel the first order though and did not want to end up with two cards.

I did ask if I could go back to the original price of $1230 as well, but was given the same 'Ohhh, I have no control over the prices!' line.

Reading this thread, I had no idea how bad they were before my experience. Wish I had known earlier…

    joke clown

  • This is a forum for deals not hocking rip offs

  • I come here for deals not for lols

  • +2

In all latest eBay promotions, HTeBay was one of the people who jacked up the price first before allowing users to apply either a $5 discount, or 3% discount, or 6% discount, or 7% discount, or 15% discount, or 17% discount.

Now no one wants to buy from you guys. So great to see! Well played!

  • Bought a Gigabyte Aero OC 4070ti off them today for $1,331 using the code. Cheapest elsewhere was $1,499 so pretty happy.
Not happy about them shipping with Aramex rather than Australia Post even though the listing said Express Post from Australia Post. Knowing Aramex, I might get it in a month if they don't lose it.

    • Aramex is simply horrible, period. I had been forced to use their service twice and I'm still waiting on my item to be delivered after a week of sitting in their warehouse.

Is there a way for us customers to raise awareness to the sellers about their service and pressure them not to use Aramex? Is Google review/ProductReview the only way that we can do?

      • I think with 4,645 out of 4,915 1 star reviews on productreview they should just be forced to shut down. I'm guessing sellers only use them because they get cheaper rates than Australia Post .
