This is was an awesome deal.
Glad I missed out.
Will sit back with my S10 and chill.
Me too, glad I resisted FOMO.
The P6P is a much better buy right now at JB.
Wow what a sale
Just got a S23 which popped up.
Just my luck, out and about last night, so didn't see this post and despite all of the garbage marketing e-mails that Amazon send me, nothing about an amazing sale like this.
Great post OP and congrats to all who managed to get one.
I bought the S23+ 512gb. The Amazon shipping email says "Someone must be present for delivery". The label on the box says "leave it in a safe place". It was left at the front door.
the Amazon delivery man always leaves the parcel at the front door, without knocking door/pressing the doorbell. If you order something expensive, you better pick up the parcel yourself.
Never had the need for pin code until now. The driver insisted to let him know the code so he can leave it. Said no and please re deliver tomorrow. Just in case it goes missing.
I received a phone call from the driver as he was parked out the front and he required a signature on handover. (Sydney).
anyone purchased the S23 Ultra 512GB black in this promo?
Anyone getting the blurry/ banana gate camera issues reported?
yes
@nassagus is that on the S23 or S23+?
s23
Any tips for a first time Ultra/Pen user?
You can use the Pen as a remote control for the camera.
you can change the sound the phone makes when the spen is taken out/put back in
This is a fantastic deal for the s23 ultra. Spewing i missed out. Anbody have any intel on a another near future sale? Thanks for your time guys, love this place 😁💯🙌
I know I got voted down last time but I've even gone in to the Samsung demo station at Doncaster and played with it and man, I gotta say the pics are genuinely blurry in 2 of the 3 camera modes?
Like, you just wanna point and shoot and it works?
Honestly I was pretty surprised just how bad the pics were of close up items, I'm sure you can fiddle to take amazing snaps but the fact it couldn't do it for dumb users in auto mode is terribly bad.
i got s23 from harvey, went to return it, old mate checked the demo units and same thing, opened another unit and same thing, said yeah nah no thanks. ive got outdoor pics and different distances and angles the blur is there you have to be blind to not see it. the mental gymnastics of some people defending samsung shows how they can keep getting away with this crap.
I ditched Samsung years ago for the curved display shenanigans and I was willing to go back because the phone I switched away to, is 4 and a half years old (still works very well)
S23+ sounded pretty good, but I want to just point and shoot and have smart phone with good optics, take a good pic every time. The blurryness on random parts of shots on a $1600 phone, just doesn't cut it.
A shame, the good google pixel has a curved display too.
Woohoooo 28 degrees s23+ approved. $750 back :)
Probably a stupid question, but is it safe to assume that phones bought as 'outright' are factory unlocked and not tied to any vendor (e.g. Telstra)?
yes
Thanks OP. Bought S23+ 512GB for $1099.
Actually was planning to buy 256gb one from Edu store for $1350.
