Perhaps a good alternative to the now-expired $499 S22 deal from Amaysim. Still has guaranteed security updates for another two years.

I'm still using this phone since release, was tempted with the 9 Pro but I think I'll just stick it out for the 10 now.
One annoyance with this phone is the unlocking of it, there is no face unlock and the finger print sensor is a very slow optical. I sometimes have to scan my finger multiple times or just use pin/pattern to unlock

Haha same - I'm gonna hold out as long as I can - still overall serving me well.

      • Same here but dropped it yesterday and cracked the corner of the screen, so the wait for 10 is going to be a lot harder now!

Yuck. So many issues with the pixel 6 series. I recommend a used/refurb pixel 7 pro for around the same price.

Mines still going strong. Would recommend for someone looking for a good budget phone for 2 years. Although personally, if I'm spending $500 I'd want the phone to last 3 years.

I've had one since launch and have no love for it. Lots of issues with connectivity and over heating. Battery life is pretty meh as well. Just get a new mid-range phone unless a good camera system for photos is your only priority. The 6 Pro takes great photos but suffers from focus hunting so even if the camera is all you care about, you may not like it.

Edit: Google assistant is great on the 6 Pro so that's one positive.

Pixel 6? Should be $200 or less.

My favourite part of the pixel 6 pro was trading it in for another phone

    $457 Kogan, Dicksmith and Mightyape.

    • All 3rd party stock from Meta Trader. No mention if its local stock or a parallel import.

      • +1

What's a Meta Trader? I've only seen that term used for a Forex trading platform.

        • Some 3rd party seller name.

      • +1

Kogan listing explicitly says International Product/Global Spec

Thanks for posting. I missed it

  • $499 for a 2021 phone seems a bit…. rich. Almost be better considering if you can get a high end refurbished phone or …. anything else. The Samsung A55 launched march this year, and will have plenty of feature and software updates to come for the same price as well.

  • Too much and too old, support has finished hasn't it?

Can get a pixel 8 128GB for $400-500 depending on condition but would get a refurbished one easily monster mobile.

  • Pixel 9 or bust

Actually worth buying being the first Google phones with a half decent Exynos modem

Pixel 8 and lower are only deals at Motorola prices
