Looks like Amazon have matched the JB Deal. Looking on JB website, it must be sold out in store & online.

I bought FP3 recently for $99 which was good deal, have been very happy with them. But the FP8 at 50% is pretty sweet deal. Shame I can't just pass the FP3's onto my kids as I'm very tempted to get FP8 for myself…..

  • Can't think what I'm gonna do with the Jabra Elite 85t I already have.

No support for Hi-Res Audio. Not worth it

No Bluetooth headphones support high res audio also it actually doesn't matter.

Not quite. Plenty out there now with LDAC support both over ear and in ear.

The drivers are the most important part for sound but high bitrate codecs like LDAC do help a bit.

        • I should have been more clear. Hi res audio doesn't mean anything. Good luck hearing the difference between a 256kbps aac file and "hi res" file. It definitely shouldnt have been considered when looking for headphones. Hi res was made up by Sony to make their products look nice and fancy and make other brands pay for the licence. They use the hi res logo on heaps of different products with different specifications and don't even care If the product sucks. When I think hi res I think 24bit lossless files. But when it comes to wireless audio it's not even close. They say it can do 24/96khz but it only has 990kbps To do that. A real 24/96khz file would be 2x the bitrate. And when I have tried to get cd quality files to play losslessly it doesn't work. It just puts it through its stupid encoder. If you still think that hi res audio is a good thing please comment. Also you probably use tidal ahah

I have the FP9A which are basically the same but they come with an aux-to-bluetooth adaptor. They sound pretty good, better than the galaxy buds plus and sony wf-1000xm3 we had prior to them. I did have an issue with one of the earbuds getting quieter than the other, but LG sent an email to JB the same day i reported it to have it replaced.

The major bonus from these that I and some other guys at the gym (I thought I was the only one until I spoke up haha :P) found was that they don't cut out when we walk/run and have the audio source in our pockets. This probably isn't an issue for everyone, but it is an issue for some, seems to be taller people with larger frames.

The FP9As are regularly about $200, if you don't want the aux to bt adaptor (great for plugging into gym equipment) then this model would probably be better value.

    • How are the the low end and high ends on these?

Do they work with one ear bud in?

Can they connect to multiple devices?

      Thanks

  • Received mine from JB yesterday. Here are my first impressions

Tiny and lightweight, can barely feel the weight when wearing.

the case is plastic with a smooth touch feel, definitely not cheap plastic feel, strong magnetic to keep earbuds in place and the lid closed

    Works with one earbud

Cannot connect to multiple devices simultaneously, one at a time, fast pairing with win 11 and android, manual pairing with IOS

Not an audiophile, no complaints re the sound quality, good enough for me. LG tone free app lets you select different preset EQs or customise it to your liking

Touch control works well, and can be customised in Tong Free App

ANC works well along with the ambient mode, can't really tell the difference between this and Sony XM3 and 1st Gen Airpods Pro

FA8 has wireless charging without the Plug & Play, FA9 is the opposite, has the plug & play without the wireless charging

Cannot go wrong at the price point.

  • was looking at this today, but no multipoint bluetooth is a deal breaker for me. Walked in officeworks and bought another pair of Jabra 85T for $178…

  • I used to have Sony xm4 until I lost them and decided to get these. I have used these for about 6 months now and feel like they are much better valued for money.

    Pros:
    Lightweight, won't fall off
    Decent sound quality
    Great for $134
    Small case
    Auto pause play
    Great battery life

    Cons:
Xm4 had somewhat better noise cancelling.
Music sounds great on their 3d sound stage equalizer preset however vocals are not the best.
maybe looks a bit cheap with the dull chrome on the buds? - looks are subjective so be your own judge.

Overall for the price, it's great compared to Sony.
