  • Just wondering if anyone knows if this is the Sense 2 ?

  • Can this device store downloaded music from spotify so you can run without having to take your phone?

    • +1

      Unfortunately no

      The Spotify app on your Fitbit device doesn’t support offline music playback, so your paired phone must remain nearby with the Fitbit app running in the background and connected to the internet.

      https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1976.htm….

      The Fitbit sense does not not have any offline music support. The company has even recently announced that it has no immediate plans to bring music storage to Sense. You can however still play music using this watch with the help of the Deezer app, Pandora app, or Spotify app. These are music streaming apps that work well with the watch.

      Take note that the Spotify app will not support offline music playback. It acts as a remote for streaming from your connected phone.

  • once you buy a fitbit device, you will never have to pay full price for one of their products ever again, that's how good the warranty is

    • Explain?

      • i have a fit bit, that has just stopped charging/working…. may i know baout this warantee ( had bought from jb)

        we have gone through a number of their watches
        * from bands breaking.
        * touch screens not working,
        * buttons not working.
        * unable to charge devices.
        * displays playing up
        everytime a watch fails we get onto support and then go through all the rigmarole, and sometimes you need to give them a poke about Australian Consumer law versus the warranty they offer, at which point they either offer a replacement OR a discounted upgrade.

        In regards to their Aria scales. They rely on a cheap plastic part which has a tendancy to break. You can print a replacement yourself, but cant buy the part(from them) to replace yourself. Warranty on these devices can be a bit harder to overcome.

        I have found with Fitbit, they could have a great product, but they have so many faults in the parts they use, that I personally have moved to a Garmin watch

          @gmoolena Thanks for the comprehensive review.

          Didn't know Fitbit has so many flaws. As you discovered, I just found out that Garmin is considered to be the more reliable brand with better quality control than Fitbit. We have an old Garmin but haven't tried Fitbit.

        • Hmm not a fair comparison but I had a Fitbit flex (1st gen) that lasted ages, only needed one replacement (which Fitbit honoured and sent a replacement one). On the other hand, I bought a Garmin Venu SQ late last year and had 2 replacements already so not that impressed with Garmin.

    • I've heard their support is terrible.

      I got one from Amazon and it was instant refund after about 18 months of purchase.

      • Same! I bought a Versa 2 from Amazon about 2 years ago. Watch died after a swim in the pool one day. Contacted Amazon and received a refund before I sent the dead watch back!
        Edit: Never contacted FitBit so not sure of their support quality,.
