  • That's good price for 2TB even if it's SATA.

DRAMless if anyone else was wondering. Still seems solid for this price

It's $142 delivered via Scorptec's eBay store if you have eBay+ using the coupon code: SNSPLUSM

    • $137 for me with SNSMD3X8F6HTHJ7M. Not a plus member.

    • $127 with ebay plus for me

  • This or

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/761018

    Still available for $137

    • 450/320 read/write and 800TBW. That's a terrible SSD.

  • Curious as to what would draw less power.. sata like this in ext. enclosure, or a m2 in an ext. enclosure.

Just thinking for use on portable devices bia usb-c

    • Likely near identical. M.2 being faster would be a better deciding factor

Or get this Team group AX2 with DRAM and TLC 2TB (2pack) https://www.amazon.com.au/TEAMGROUP-Internal-Compatible-Desk…
    for almost the same price.

    • Needing to buy a pair and not local supplier kill this deal for me.

    • that doesn't have DRAM

Read up to 540MB/s, Write up to 490MB/s

Isn't that HDD speeds? Seems kinda slow.

    • HDDs range from 100 to 200MB/s on the outer tracks of 7200rpm 3.5" drives, not to mention the other benefits of it being a SSD vs spinning disk

I'd love to have one of your HDDs

I guess I'm thinking Mb not MB.

    • The fastest HDDs are less than 300MB/s while most consumer grade ones are closer to 150MB/s

  • What ya guys reckon good for my diy NAS , i currently have 2x 480gb crappy 94% health samsungs from years ago.

If you don't need the space immediately then keep waiting, SSD prices are plummeting and capacities are growing. 2x2Tb isn't much of an increase in space from what you have.

Give it a little while and you could probably grab a pair of 4Tb drives for the same $70/Tb that these are going for, which might be a worthwhile jump.

      • Yeah good idea thanks for the reassurance. I think I might wait out for a 4TB Sn570 or a cheap 2TB SN570 i trust the reliability on thease wd nvme drives and they drop on amamzon quite regualry, the supply and demand for nvme drives are sky rocketting it might get to a very close 30$ per tb for under 8TB drives in a few years, so ill hold out

    • Worth hanging out for drive with DRAM.

      • I've got 16 gigabytes of RAM in my NAS 😂 it caches quite a bit i get 100mbps aversge write ans read so dram aint a proberlwn.
