Got an email explaining normal $500 trade-in bonus is now $800 with customer coupon code. Code looks unique so probably targeted.

Already got my S23 for a good price using Harvey Norman deal, so I don't need another one!

            @rain-e: I emailed them yesterday, they replied today. But I haven't got the voucher yet as they want to talk to me on the phone, they asked for suitable time to call.

    Samsung Chat told me that the 10% loyalty code is not applicable with the trade in bonus

  • Using the Samsung Trade up App and for some reason its not allowing me to select my Address. It pops down with the Auto fill window but I am unable to select the address. I even tried to add it manually but then the auto fill pops down below asking for the Zip/Postal Code and I am unable to select the suburb. Anyone come across this?

      I also had this issue. Turns out the fix is to mess around with font size and bold text in settings. I eventually got it to work by max-ing "font size and style" and "screen zoom" and clicking on the dropdown for my post code multiple times. Good Luck

      • Thanks for the tip it worked! Had to max out font size, change font and then max out screen zoom and then it finally let me press the selections and continue.

        Just tried to use the $800 voucher and it gets rejected on my work Samsung EPP. Would have been a great deal if it was able to go through.

  • Seems the loyalty team have gone quiet now. Pretty quick to reply to emails last week, assuring me that the codes would work by Monday. Now no response.

    • I got a response earlier today - the developers are 'still working on it'.

  • hey can anyone tell me where we put in the customer coupon code, is it at the checkout page? This is not the same as the trade-in ID is it?

  • Customer Service told me that the loyalty voucher of 10% can't be stacked with this trade-in deal.

      All their departments don't seem to know what each other are doing. The loyalty team seemed certain that 10% can be stacked onto the trade in bonus. They say that they have a 10% or 15% loyalty bonus and the 15% can't be stacked.

      Initially, it worked for me but it made me log in before finalising. Once I logged in, it removed the discount and I haven't been able to add it since. Apperantly now they are saying it's an issue at their end that they are trying to fix.

          • @moneyhungry: Try it without the trade in deal. It will say the same message which means that the promo code as Samsung says is broken. If it didn't allow trade in stacking it would have worked without it.

            And yes, same email address to log in.

      • I had the same experience, initially offered 15% but when I mentioned trade in was told only 10% can be stacked and was given a code which is unfortunately not working (stacked or not)

          I talked to the loyalty team and they said the 250 e voucher won't be given if the loyalty discount is applied. They mentioned that they can handle the loyalty discount and order through their system. I did get a 15% so it might be different for a 10% discount.

          • @qlrns: i tried the 10% discount on a fold4 that does not have the e-voucher and it didnt work as well

  • I ordered it without the Loyalty code but now can't see this order in my Samsung account even though I received an email from Samsung with an invoice. Samsung seriously needs an overhaul of its site and processes.

    • They have a banner on the top of the page saying this:

      'We are upgrading our operations from 27 February – 12 March 2023. We will recommence shipping from 13 March 2023.'

      If you ask me, they've done a fantastic job. /s

    The loyalty codes seem to be disabled when trying to purchase the s23 models. i contacted chat and they said wasnt valid for the s23. This is despite the fact they loyalty team specially said that it could be used. Even the email i was sent stated which models if could be used on.
    Will give them a call tomorrow to see what the deal is, worst case I will just stack with a $50 newsletter code which I have tested and it does currently work.(add the newsletter code first and then the targeted trade in code.

    • I was told today by the loyalty team that it will work once the website is back up and is still eligible with trade in.

      • Let's hope sooner rather than later then, at least we have a bit of time before the $800 trade in ends.

        • And also the discount for the buds2 ends on the 22nd if you are buying those using the voucher.

    • I am in the same boat as you. I have got the 10% loyalty code as well but waiting for it to stack together with the targeted code.

      • Got an email from the loyalty team this morning. Apperantly their ETA for voucher fix is "a day or so". They say to keep trying in the meantime.

        Their customer service from their loyalty team for me has been exceptional however, their website issues (trade id + voucher) has been poor.

    Has anyone heard an update from Samsung..? I got the below response regarding my 15% off loyalty voucher

    "Thanks for getting back to us.

    I just wanted to let you know that the voucher is all good and ready to be use. We are just having some website update that the order is not processing for the S23 series so you might encounter the same error at your end. We'll let you know once website is 100% working again."

  • Spoke to rep today. Got the voucher within 10mins.

    Mentions 10% will stack on trade in bonus voucher. Website under maintenace but will be in touch.

    Also says $50 voucher wont stack anymore….

      I got the $50 voucher to stack after removing it and adding it back - I think there's a specific order required.

      • I did that too, initially it applied, than in the payment step it disappeared, I went back, deleted, reapplied and it stayed (y)

  • Hi. Did anybody had any issues while entering your address in the Trade-up app. Oddly enough, I can see my address pop up but I am unable to select/tap it. Neither can i enter the address manually, then I can't select after entering the pin-code.

    Any suggestions please.

      $50 newsletter code
      Adding them in that order seemed to work not sure if it makes a difference

      • Same here: I ended up paying $983.20 for the 256GB model after stacking the $300 trade-in bonus ($1 trade-in value), $50 newsletter code and 10% loyalty voucher (and got the $249 Galaxy Watch4 40mm using the $250 eVoucher). Cashrewards tracked $25.02 in cashback (2.80%), but I'm not confident it will be paid given the other discounts.

        • The 10% loyalty voucher only deducted $25, they still haven't got it right.

            $1,949 base price
            -$500 trade-in bonus = $1,649
            -$300 trade-in bonus = $1,149
            -$1 trade-in value = $1,148
            -$50 newsletter code = $1,098
            -10% loyalty voucher ($1,098 * 0.1 = $114.80) = $983.20

However also paying back $31 (30+1) to asurion. In total it will get below $900 for me - I pretty sure I could sell it in Europe for twice as much (unopened) => AWESOME DEAL (y) (y)

        • Somehow my $50 newsletter code isn't working, even though I tried a few different codes. However, the $100 loyalty code works, which is pretty funny. I had to hurry before the system messed up again, so ended up at $933. If the $50 newsletter code had worked, the price could have gone down to $883

          • @iforumos: Are you logged in with a different email? the email address need to match the one used for $50 voucher for it to work.

            • @zerocritical: dont know that, but the 800 code I used was from a different email, however its easy to generate the $50 w your other email address

      • Mine accepted the $50 newsletter code but it didn't actually apply, price was the same after removing it.

          I had a similar issue. You can unsubscribe. Then subscribe again using the email you want to place an order with. It should give you a new code.

      15% wont work with the trade in. Only the 10% loyalty code does

        • Try adding once in the card. Adding it before hand sometimes has issues.

            • @VehemenceThePhoenix: As promised, posting an update because I found out why the Trade In ID wasn't working!
              I'm doing this purchase for my Mum, so got her to do the trade in app part on her phone, and she chose In-Store instead of online. I realised when I looked at screenshot again and saw it saying to go in store. Once she changed it to online it's accepted!
              The poor error message didn't help!
              Now I just need to find a boosted trade-in offer. If this helps anyone and they have a spare code would really appreciate a PM, thanks.
