Samsung Galaxy S24 FE 128GB with a Postpaid Plan: $24.93/M over 24M, $16.62/M over 36M (Save $500.40) @ Optus

51

This might not be the best deal going around BUT I normally buy phones outright as we have the Optus 4 SIM $165 Family Plan, and have been told I can add this device to my existing Plan, so in theory I can buy the phone outright for $598.32 ($24.93 x 24 months)

I'll test it out over the next few days and check back in

Save $500.40 off RRP $1,098.72 when you pay it off over 24/36 months. Ends 4/12/24.

$24.93 /month (Was $45.78) with 24 Month Repayment + Your Chosen Plan fees

$16.62 /month (Was $30.52) with 36 Month Repayment + Your chosen plan fees

    No SD slot, no deal.

    • Good luck getting a new phone in 2024🤣🤣

BTW I did not neg you cos I feel living in stone age is sad enough already…..

How is that the stone age?

        • -2

None of the know and good brands put SD slots in their phones anymore (sone their cheap junk still have the slot), except Sony and they do it so user can use the slot to load photos into the phone from camera……

So yeah SD card is stone age stuff whether you like it or not…..

      • I use my phone as a PC with Dex so want the SD card also. 128G just isn't enough and you can just move the SD card between phones.

The discount is applied monthly to the device repayment while you stay on the plan.

No one who wants an FE needs a $52/m plan when there are yearly prepaid SIMs.

      Yeah.

      JB trick + full price boost sim x 2 years = $1200

      This deal = $1,848 + no flexibility

Heck, Bigw is $899 + $50 everyday rewards in points

Just an update - can confirm Optus considers the 4 SIM $165 Family Plan as an 'Eligible SIM Plan' for promotional purposes.

The final contract for this deal was $45.78 per month over 24 months, with a monthly discount of $20.85 (to keep you on contract) so in theory I have purchased the handset outright for $598.32

And since I have 4 SIMs I could have purchased 4 phones, which at the moment the sale also includes S24 Ultra, razr 50, Pixel 9 Pro and Pro Fold, and Galaxy z Fold6

That is certainly a good price for that phone.

I did question if they will allow you to buy 4 phone cos family plan is 4 sims but consider as 1 contract. You better check with Optus again. If they confirm yes, that is a deal by itself.

      • I asked the question, and was told 4 SIMs meant 4 phones.

  • EDIT to compare like-for-like with a new SIM plan:

The cheapest Optus SIM plan at the moment is $52 with 50GB of data, so $76.43 per month over 24 months.
I'm on $41.25 with 80GB of data allocated to me, so it's $66.18 per month over 24 months

  • If you're already with Optus, and thinking of getting a new phone, this is by far the cheapest way anywhere on the net to get this model.

Plus, it's like Optus giving you interest free credit to buy the phone in instalments over 24 to 36 months.
Of course, from their viewpoint, they lock in a customer long term.
I'll be getting one in the graphite.
    Thanks OP.

    • What plan are u putting the phone on?

  • I'm on Optus Choice S.
I think any postpaid plan would work.

  • I'm on a legacy plan with 2 mobiles, 4 data sims, sharing 280GB/m for $99/m, can't get that anymore but since I'm already with optus and need a new phone, it makes sense.
