    • no you didn't
or do you just say it to rile up the crowd?

  • +4

Boost still needs more capital 😂

  • How long is it usually until the cashback clears?

    • +1

A couple of months. Cashrewards do them in batches.

ESTIMATED APPROVAL Up to 95 Days

    • +5

Comment today from Cashrewards rep re timescale of Boost cashbacks:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/762420#comment-13495719

"All of January will be confirmed in the next 1-2 weeks (provided SIMs were activated within 30 days). The estimated approval for Boost has always been 95 days from purchase as per the terms, but our relationship with Boost has allowed us to pull a few strings with earlier approvals :)"

      • +2

I purchased one last year and forgot to activate and they still approved the cash back.

  • +3

    Thanks! Bought another one

      Username checks out.

  • apart from JB $10 voucher, what else can i sign up for these days? I don't like giving out my number to companies that use it for who knows what

    • UberEats/Menulog/Doordash offer.

      • i don't think you can be get very far with doordash on the same mobile phone. they will detect you after a few new accounts.

        • Oh I certainly did lol. It's Uber Eats where I ran into this problem, and Menulog wasn't even worth having another account.

Sadly Doordash has gotten rid of their $15 off $20 x3 and their referral $20-$30 seems to not be given to "new" accounts anymore.

          • @pennypincher98: Menulog is good for "$5 off your next pick up order over $15" (Total of x5 codes avail per Mobile No). One doesn't need a new account.

    • Free gyg burrito

      • does gyg still enforce the limit of one burrito per phone, no matter how many new accounts on that phone?

        • Just a couple weeks ago I made a second gyg account on my phone with another number and it gave me the burrito

To celebrate beating Optus in court ? :P

    • Mobile Boost

  • what's the maximum sim card that can be activated by one ID?
    any limited?

    • +4

I don't work anymore, just buy Boost sims.

      • +4

Just started buying Boost sims and hoping to retire soon

Melt them down and forge a walking stick.

        • Genuinely have at least one SET on every table and bench in my house, might be time to start throwing them out.

    • rep online said more than 10.

and max 4 prepaid activations per 30 mins

    • Max Number of Sim linked to one ID = That depends. If on a separate account to existing then the answer is x1 SIM per ID.

If within one's existing account, then from memory, the agent I spoke to a while back said x10 SIMs can be added to one's account (I will stand corrected). It can use the existing ID that is already within your account. Caveat: You may need to call and have them add and activate it for you within your existing account.
This Boost article says otherwise but I question Boost's own Q&A's as I have multiple SIMs in my account.

The Question: If I have more than one mobile number, can I use one Boost account on all of them? Answer says only x1:

Once they expire, you can call them and ask them to delete the SIM from your account. In turn frees up for more SIM's space and saves having too many regardless as they stay active for up to 6 months .

      • Received some SIMs, but they won't activate. At the last step after ID and address verification, on selecting a plan it says 'sorry something has gone wrong". Already have a couple activated but not ten.

        • Common and very annoying but that's Boost and how their systems tie in with Telstra. Basically crappy activation systems.

Just call their Customer Service (who are quick). They will need to activate for you which will always be the case when adding more to existing account (in my experience).

  • +2

Doesn't matter to me anymore as no orders goes through even though I only have one active service with them, bought 2 years back. Not sure what kind algorithm boost follows

    • You need to log in your account first, then do the activation, so far I have like 6 sims in one account

      • +2

A lot of people cant purchase sims, they just get an error: "Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later."

        Same through the app…

        • +1

          Been getting errors since yesterday

      • How do you login to an account? Couldn't see an option to login via their website, only app login.

  • +1

    Thanks Op

    • +3

      Username does not check out

      • They need a way to get more money… so how many Boost sim profits are required to allow all customers to withdraw 🤔

  • For the within 30 days ordering from today, would it be 12 April or the 13 April for the last day to activate?

    • +1

      Today is day one.

  • What happens if the SIM doesn't reach you within 30 days

  • Just found my last order in Feb was not tracked by CB. The first time after many orders.

    • I submitted a claim through click history and received a chase-up email from them saying that they manually reported it to Boost while they added the missing amount

  • +3

Anyone else not able to successfully use the auto address finder, and always have to manually enter? The address is found from the searcher, but when you select it, it just says it failed to find the address.

    • Manual entry allows many variations.

    • The same. Need to enter it manually.

  • +1

    Thanks grabbed another.

    • So it was delivered last time?

      • Yep. Let's see if we can go 2 for 2.

(Edit: Also this latest purchase tracked instantly)

  • +1

Tried to buy a second. But getting error "Something went wrong".

Maybe i have bought too many recently…

    • I was able to get two. But couldn't get the third.

      • +1

There is always another way if you are keen. Another IP address, another person's info (no signature required for the mail), "I can't find my address" and make some variations to it manually, another card to pay.

Variations can be as easy as Street to St, Unit 20 to U20.

        • Yeah different address (or different credit card number, not sure which did it) worked. Bought 4 for families visiting next month, all were tracked immediately. Thanks OP!

  • Literally tracking instantly within a second. No errors on all my orders as some are reporting above. CR is on top of their game lol.

  • Dang Another one again and again ??

Bought another one now just before midnight

  • +1

Got in before the buzzer, thanks OP. Now how does one become a new customer when they're currently with Boost lol. Or was that just to purchase it?

    • +1

You don't need to be a new customer to activate or use it. One cannot however use it to top up existing plan. You can just activate it within your existing account…….but one needs to call them (or via chat) as they will need to do it for you (in my experience). It always fails once one enters ID Check when self managing.

  • Has anyone else not received the despatch /tracking email yet?

    • +1

I received tracking a few days back and was delivered yesterday (Sydney)

      • Yep likewise.

      • Haha i spoke too soon, just got delivered today

  • I "activated" the SIM I think (put in serial number and ID) but do i have to make an account to get cashback? I already have the phone number for receiving phone calls and SMS, which is all i wanted.

    • An account is auto-created based on the email address that you use as part of the activation process so by default one always gets an account.

      • It's still asking me to set a password and finish sign up, though. What if i never set one?

        • well, if it is part of the process, then set a password otherwise it won't complete. If in doubt, just call their CS. They are quick and can answer.

          • @Borg: Boost CS will answer cashback questions?

            • @GhatT: Oh sorry, are you asking if you need a Cashrewards Account? If so, then am a little confused. Reason: You would have needed one of those in advance to activating this offer otherwise the purchase would not have been tracked? Apologies if I am misunderstanding what you are asking!

              • @Borg: I have a cashrewards account, I was wondering if a boost account is required in order to receive cashback. Do not worry about it, I'll just make boost accounts for each sim i do

                • +1

@GhatT: No, as I don't have a Boost account (no login and no password). Got cashback in the previous deal by activating the sim

                • @GhatT: Ah ok. As "@trixieb' noted, that is not required. All CR check is whether the associated SIM purchased/tracked was activated within the 30 days.

  • Sim I received didn't work and I had to spend 3 hours on chat, transferring to 6 agents and 3 chat disconnections before they were willing to just cancel my service. Would not recommend.

    • There seems some faulty SIM reports here and there. Now I always test the SIM first. It will be really painful to deal with an online only Telco for a permanent number. If it is a new number, Just ignore it and take it as bad luck.
