What kind of beefy system draws the power this puts out?
Multi GPU systems used for machine learning, rendering etc. For example, such PSU would not be sufficient for Threadripper + 4x 3090 or 4090 GPUs, even if GPUs are power limited.
Seems odd for a modular 1000W+ PSU to not include a 12VHPWR cable these days.
Although EVGA and Cablemod will happily sell one to you. (Along with the adaptor usually included with your gpu anyway)
Also note that these look a tad longer than typical ATX power supplies. Make sure there's clearance. (I'd have room, but would have to remove a drive enclosure to make it truly fit and not feel terrible about turn radius of cables)
EVGA cable does not work with 40 series NVidia cards, only with 3090Ti (unless they have released the updated version recently).
Not ATX 3.0 sadly
I feel like pulling a positive multiple of 1600W on the 12V rail may be insanity anyway, and the OCP trip point of this (~133% on 12V), might come fairly close to 10A from the wall anyway? (And then give some room for peripherals)
RIP single-phase circuits? How does electricity work?
EVGA also has the 2000W version: EVGA SuperNOVA 2000 G1+
doubles as a heater in the winter
@hippo2s: It also doubles your energy bill
Lots of good ATX 2.0 deals atm….wonder why cough ATX 3.0
PCByte or bpctech?
