Kogan 2000W Portable Heater $79 Plus Postage (Save $120)

20

It appears Kogan is trying to get rid of this stock before Winter finishes so if you want a cheap heater then this is perfect. I'm not quite sure what resolution it has but usually it's full HD. Also, my advice would be to not leave this on whilst asleep.

Depends, the resolution changes depending which setting you have it on…Fine, I'll be honest, I didn't want to disappoint anyone. It's JUST a heater.

I bought an early model Kogan TV that overheated to the point that I think it would be a better heater than any of these units!

  • They look cool though

  • Is it 100hz though?

  • If only they could do a deal on GAS heaters… electric (expensive)
Seems like a good buy though :)

    Does it have built-in wifi?

  • I don't understand why people assume because its cheap it will burn the house down

  • I hope it's full hd, so it can look good against my wall. Does it come in 3D?

  • What's the power consumption on these things? Say for 4-5 hours continuous use?

    • 2000wats?

    • This heater should use approximately 2kWHours per hour. Multiply this by your rate on your electricity bill and that is what it will cost you per hour to run

      • The average price of power is 20-30 cents per kWh unless you are stuck in some rort peak prices. So say a maximum of 60 cents/hour. Of course you don't leave it on all day at max heat.

    • the heater won't be on at all time. so you don't 4hr x 2000w .
unless your house has no insulation or you camping.

These heaters are good for their price. We own two!

    It has pretty simple settings.
It has two heat settings - 2000W or 1000W. We usually leave it on the 1000W setting and it warms our open lounge/kitchen quite well.
You set the temperature in degrees C (say for eg 22) on the LED display and it will heat to that temp then switch off. It also has a switch-off timer, and a type of "econo" mode. The manual isn't the clearest when it comes to describing what the "econo" mode really does! I think you use it at night.

They are better at heating a room than a oil fin heater.
They are also better than any heater with a fan - they run quiet. I like this.
They also have an ion generator.

I'm sure anything similar would be $200 plus in some stores.

We want to eventually get a gas heater, but until then these will do - they are a lot better than what we had. I hate using electric heaters but otherwise we freeze! :-(
