Cant remember which seller. For my toner, there are only a handful sellers. Just choose the 1 with highest feedback and with word of "guarantee". If it doesnt work or seller did a runner, ebay will usually cover the cost with voucher. Just make sure dont update the printer firmware. Keep the oldest firmware just in case the non-genuine toner has not updated with the chip. Hope this helps.

I believe brother has accomplished to stop 3rd party ink, i cannot see any 3rd party ink anywhere online for brothers inkjet MFC eg: j1200xl
bought full set brother tn253/tn257 from ebay $60 few months ago, here cost $167. not sure paying extra $100 will get the same quality as genuine version. comparing ebay version vs genuine, i can see there is a minor difference in term of contrast in colour. only if you compare side by side. if you are just printing for general documents, i would say the ebay version is good enough.
