Can you ask JB Hi Fi for some refund if you recently bought at higher price?
Only if their price went down within 2 weeks of purchase, not a competitors
Aha not a competitor. They do have change of mind 100% refund.
I suppose you can buy this one and return it to Jbhifi (assuming you opened the box of the one from Jb)
@danny1213: I haven't opened. So I do have the option to return.
note that any Frame smaller than 55" doesn't have advanced gaming features or high refresh rates
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/the-frame-2022-qle…
the only real reason i wouldve bought this for, an extra mountable tv for gaming in the study/spare bedroom, nice call
it's a bit shady from Samsung not to emphasize differences within the same model based on size
Hard to expect Samsung to advertise like "this TV of ours here is worse".
@pizzaguy: They don't have to, they just need to show the appropriate specs for the various Frame sizes.
A lot of stores just lump lower Spec TVs with the higher spec TV. And it is very easy to miss.
still fine for netflix and movies? won't be gaming on it
probably yes, but you'll notice a difference watching sports or fast pace action
do action movies on netflix play higher than 60hz?
@xtommyk: as far as I know video processing in the TV itself makes it smoother when higher refresh rate is available on the panel
@shabaka: That's what TVs have been doing - processing to smoothen the picture - for over 15 years: luring people with pseudo 100 or 200Hz.
As I learned here, the more advanced models have real high refresh rate. Which can be used for gaming only, to my understanding (perhaps some films too), as no streaming or TV system would broadcast such picture.
@pizzaguy: yep, that's still limiting what you can use the TV for
I chose Frame because I was looking for a good gaming TV, and it was one of the cheaper among TV models that are great for gaming and everything else all around
also because I had that 30% loyalty discount on Samsung store. ended up getting Frame 2021 65" for $930
I wouldn't even look at sizes smaller than 55" as they lack that feature
with last gen gaming consoles finally abundant I think this is kind of important to highlight which models aren't, shall we say, future proof.
but if you're never going to even think about gaming, correct, probably doesn't matter.
@shabaka: I get your point, I read your previous comment wrong.
No idea how it looks to get a 25/30 or 50/60 fps film smoothen to "real" 100-200 Hz. Doesn't sound good, in general, but that's my personal taste in film framerates.
@shabaka: Yes, and we all disable that because it looks shit.
Better than my EPP price!
How did you get the price match with JB if JB is $1,195 ? Also, how did you manage to score the free bezel ?
That's how price matching works. You usually get the higher price to go down to match the competitor…
For the bezel see here.
great just brought one on the weekend..got it via Ebay extra discount $1070 :(
jb online chat matched this for me with the free bezel.
How did you get them to match including the free bezel? Online chat said that they could do $925 with the free bezel, guessing because the appliance central offer does not include a free bezel.
i asked if they would price beat appliance central. They said they could match it. I then asked if they would include the free bezel and they said yes and which color would i like. Both are in the checkout link.
Online chat not offering the free bezel without a $40 charge. Did they send you a link that includes the free bezel in the cart or did you have to ask?

Thanks, I'll try the online chat again and hope to get a different operator. They said that they can include the free bezel but the price of the TV will change, so it's technically not "free".
Maybe try your local jb hifi. I can provide a screenshot if that helps
@david6509: I think you did very well. I just spoke to 3 different live chat reps. All saying the same thing "I can only do the tv but cannot add the frame in the basket. We have been recently advised not to" - They all discounted the frame to $107
@johnms1986: Id say go in store and try your luck maybe. Show them the screenshot and see if they will match it /
I bought 43" frame TV couple of days ago from JB Hi Fi for $995 ($945 after $50 discount code). Today I went to store and they refunded me $50 in gift card (as I paid by gift card).
I got the 55" one last weekend. It does not have the Play Store on it and you can only install Samsung approved apps. Does anyone know a way to sideload apps? Really want to get SmartTube on it.
Plug a Chromecast TV into it is the only way. Or even better a Nvidia Shield.
I have a shield on it - just thought it would be nice using it standalone.
I was after the 65” Frame but it looks like everyone has reverted to $1500++ :(
same i was after 75 inch and it was $1900 now its back to $2200
I've been told on the live chat no free bezel, and that was even before I asked about it.
Did you get free delivery including? They asked for my postcode, which is free delivery for Appliance Central, however they are charging $34 for Toll Delivery on the link that they gave me. Damn!
Yeah but they reduced the price of the TV. 10 bucks postage for the free bezel can't be changed.
Still I paid 850 all up after gift cards and shipping. April 20th delivery
I have the first version. How much better is the 2022?
The matte screen works really well according to review (I'm yet to put mine up)…..so depends how glary your current one is? It would function the same I believe.
could you post a receipt for jb? thanks
