you have not heard of Antec?!
Very legit. They make great fans and cases.
Thanks for the feedback! I might go for it
They are less popular now due to too many other options, but back in the days they are the go to brand.
It is a decent brand
The real question is who actually makes the PSU for Antec. According to a seemingly knowledgeable Reddit post it's HKC, and this is basically the same as a Thermaltake PF1.
7 year warranty is not class leading (not bad, but you can sometimes get 10 year around this price on special), and the fan is a sleeve bearing, also not amazing. But it's great quality caps, platinum efficiency, and if you get 7 years out of something that's $130, I think you've done alright
My old cheap 650W Antec was still working when I replaced it after 9 years of use…
I'm still (very occasionally) running an Antec GreenPower 550W in my sim rig
Still running a Neopower 650 (2007) that runs all day with the old school 80 mm rear fan on it. They’re a good brand
They almost certainly aren't made by the same company any more. Antec aren't an OEM; maybe they design it, maybe they don't, but certainly someone else builds the PSU, and they stick their name on it.
Not saying they're a bad brand, but PSUs are more complicated than a lot of other PC components around what good brands are, and it can change rapidly
Antec have been around for 20+ years. They're one of the earlier pioneers in case designs and earlier peripheral tech. PSU's 15+ years. Although this has a good warranty and specs, i still say there is only 1 brand to buy when it comes to a psu…. and that is SEASONIC!
Seasonic make/made units for corsair, silverstone, xfx and another brand i forget. They just re-badge the units. But seasonic are the best you can get imo.

Fully modular
$129Very nice!
Apparently a B tier (Excellent) PSU according to PSU Tier list. I am sad as I bought a C tier Coolermaster Bronze 2 weeks ago at the same price.
I have one. I like it, but can't give any technical feedback. My unit failed at around the 8 month mark. Scorptec was awesome with the replacement turn around.
We have 30 500w Antec power supplies that came free with an antec cases.. 7 years and they are still going
Crypto mining?
Crypto don't need cases from what I have seen
Office computers :) lol
Are they quiet?
considering they make decent fans I would guess so, but I am not an owner. Wish I was!
I recommend the be quiet PSUs (and CPU coolers).
I used both in my build, and I can't hear my PC unless I'm gaming - and then it's the GPU I hear. This at CPL looks like OK (not great) value:

$169 for a 750w gold PSU, but it has their premium fan in it.
For me, since I work on my PC as well, an extra $40 for a silent CPU is a no-brainer.
Wait when did they have a QLD store?
I'm guessing November

I've got an antec true power classic 550w that's been powering along for something like 8 years without a hitch and still cracks along like new.
Definitely has more than 550w capacity too, runs a 5800x and 3070 without issue.
Don't know this sku, but antec in general make good gear.
Co-sign Antec TruePower 750w Gold owner in the pc I've had since 2012. Over the last year I think it's finally showing signs that its going to fail soon. But it has certainly served me well.
Usually, just have to vacuum out and replace the fan. But needs to be with the same type, or very similar, in terms of airflow. Beats buying a new one, but ideally you do it before the fluff inside catches fire, or causes a component failure.
Just to put things in perspective. I have an Antec HCG 620.. purchased 05-03-13. It's still in use powering my main rig. So not too bad.
Great first post OP! Keep up the good work!
Anyone have experience with this brand? I've never heard of it before.
