  • your title says 256gb ssd while description has 512gb ssd

Keep in mind this is a zen 3 based cpu not zen 4 thanks to AMD’s horrendous naming scheme

    • Any idea when Zen 4 version is coming out?

      • Seemed to be delayed a bit. Last manufacturers said was due in March for the earliest AMD drop here in oz but yeah….theres hardly any reviews out there even

  • Discounted upgrades on SSD at +$29 for 512GB or +$79 for 1TB.

  • $1199 with Education pricing

It's actually $1187. Cheaper to select the Ryzen 5 ($180 cheaper) and upgrade the CPU for $129 (which auto upgrades the Ram for $39). Save $12.

  • Is this comparable to surface pro 7 or 8 and i3 or i5?

    • you can find reviews on Ryzen 7 5825U (which is this 7730U) , and compare that to your i3/i5 models.

  • are these the ones where the hinge breaks?

  • +1

Select Ryzen 5 and then upgrade CPU and Ram. Works out cheaper.

  • No mention of a GPU so I assume this is no good for gaming?

    • 7730u doesnt have the AMD Radeon 680M inbuilt if thats what youre asking.

      • i just bought a 6800h with 680m

im so confused, did they release a 7th gen already??

is there a 7800h laptop variant?

are there better than 680m devices out?

        • +1

i think the zen 4 7000 cpus will be released in the next few months. perfect timing for the usual lenovo + cash rewards eofy sale.

@la ciudad respirando: will they have better than 680m graphics??

            godamn obsolete already wtf

            • @furythree: i mean i would think so. the last jump to 680m was pretty big so i dont think it'll be the same this time around.

              • @la ciudad respirando: just discovered the anandtech article

looks like there is a whole new naming convention

the 7840hs is the one with RDNA3 graphics and the one to look out for

                sheesh i shudve waited

    • 720p for some recent-ish games, maybe. Old games are OK at higher res. It's a Vega 8, similar to the 660M in the Zen3+ iterations.

  • This or Intel Core i5-1340P for Photoshop and ArchiCad?
